MrGigabyte got a reaction from randallh in Sticky Log Date
I frequently have to log caches a day or so after I find them. When I create a log in Cachly, it use the current date. I can change the date for that log, but when I then log another cache, it reverts back to the current date. Geocaching.com date selection is sticky. That is, it keeps whatever date you previously selected until yo change it. Can this same sticky date feature please be added to Cachly?

MrGigabyte got a reaction from Jellis in Link from Pending Log back to the cache page
This has been an issue for me since day one. I sometimes wait days to finally submit my pending logs, as I tend to tweak them when I have time, and then bulk submit. Problem is, after a few days and I have a dozen or more pending logs, I have NO idea what cache many of the logs refer to. There is no way as far as I have found, to go back to the actual cache page from the pending log. A simple link from the cache name in the pending log list, back to the cache description page would be perfect.
As it stands now, I have to get the GC number or cache name, then go back to the caches list and then search for it.
My request is to simply add a link from the pending log back to the cache.
    Thanks

Back on topic...  I have several astronomy apps that allow you to set date and time. They have the scroll wheels as Cachly does, but they also have a [TODAY] button on the same screen. When the date set is the current date, the button is dimmed and inactive. If you change the date, the button becomes active.   This would seem to do the trick in this cace as well.

I vote for having the option to turn on or off all additional waypoints on the map. No cache selection required. This way I can see all the trailheads, parking, stages of multis, etc. regardless of what cache they are for.

You need to either select an offline list from the ones listed (assuming you have one or more) OR you hit the "+" button, enter a new list name, Save, then select that list, and finally, hit Import on the Import GPX page.

BTW: How is it possible to have 60 MB  GPX file of just solved caches.  I have 3000 caches including ALL my unfound caches and it is only 30 MB.  So I assume you have 6000 solved puzzles. If that is the case, I could use your help on a few dozen around here!  :-)

White text on light green background is an awful choice from usability point of view. The contrast between these two colors is too low. Tune the green color darker or let me choose my own colors.

Sometimes I want to update a few caches in the area we are caching. You can either do them individually are the whole offline list.
It would be great if I could update only those visible on the map.

MrGigabyte got a reaction from Btwchen in Highlight a filtered set of caches?
Is there anyway to highlight the results of a filter used in an offline list?  For example, today I wanted to highlight a series of caches that all had a a specific phrase in the cache name. I entered that phrase in the search and it returned on the map and in the list, the caches in the series. Now, I wanted to highlight all of them, then clear the filter. So I could see where that series was in relation to other caches. Thee does not seem to be a way to apply highlight to the search results.
Also, I tried to do this in Live view and it would not return the correct caches from the search.    v 3.0 (11)

I see this was sort of, or accidentally, requested by someone in another thread here, but since it looks like it's not what the original poster asked for in his thread, I'll go ahead and post here.

I'd love to see cachly make a count of my total number of finds in the current day easy to display, perhaps along with a list of all caches logged or with logs pending in the current day.

MrGigabyte reacted to Attila_G in Who is using "Logs"?
I wonder who is using the "Logs" feature to read the own logs? Sorry, but I find this function somehow useless... No cache name, no find function. Why should I read my own logs at all? That's the reason why I ask this question. Who is using this feature and why?
Instead of my own logs, I would rather like to see a chronological list of all my logged caches (only cache name & GC code instead of the log text) with a daily summary (count of finds, DNF). Something similar to what Geosphere offers. I would often like to see which caches I logged on a given date. For me this feature would be much more useful.

As a user of offline lists, I find it frustrating each time I restart the app, it defaults to live view and starts a search. It would be great to have the ability to resume in the screen you left off in.

MrGigabyte reacted to CanUSeeIT in Show distant caches' waypoints on the map
I've always wanted to be able to see the waypoints that belong to another (possibly distant) cache on the map, when I'm looking at the area the waypoint is in, not just when I'm looking at that cache.
Here's an example. There's a cache in my area that has it's published coordinates "downtown", but it has published waypoints scattered all over the county, many miles apart. Last weekend I was caching in a park that had one of the waypoints, but of course I couldn't see it. I missed a TCO (Tree Climbing Opportunity).
Ultimately, I'd like to be able to say to the map "show me all the geocaching stuff in this park, caches and waypoints". Of course, this should include published waypoints as well as "user waypoints" I've added (while working on a large multi, for example)
I realize this would take a lot of churning through data to achieve, so I was thinking there could be a list I could designate as one that would include the "distant caches" I'd always want to see in this view.
This feature would make my geocaching life complete.

Right now locations are very handy but second class citizens. I've suggested to Nic that moving them towards user-defined local caches would help in many ways.

Recently I started to use the saved locations feature and it is really very useful.
It would be very nice if the saved locations would be shown on the map when loading an offline list.
Currently the locations are shown after I saved them, but when I switch from one offline list to another the saved location pins are gone.
I have to select a saved location to see it, but I only see one at a time and nothing else.
With all saved locations visible on the offline map, I could easily see all my markers for hotels, restaurants and bars while caching
    Best regards
    Michael

... absolutely agree - and of course (still one of my most favorite feature requests) it also would be good to show all waypoints of all caches when loading an offline list.

(Bar) Pub finder feature also would be great

I went back and looked at some of my logs that I submitted a few days ago using Cachly and they all have coordinates attached to them. I don't know how this happened because I never selected to have coordinates attached. Is this even an option in Cachly to attach coordinates to a log?

Another useless, unnecessary and stupid change by those clowns in Seattle. I have 16 years worth of emails to and from cachers that I can search for without ever using any proprietary message center. If their programmers can't figure out how to "support another system" (email), then they have hired the wrong programmers.

I'm sure it's been asked before, but wondering how far down the development tree is the ability to have multiple log templates.
Or ideally, a seperate template for each log type (Find, dnf, need maintenance etc)
    this would be really handy.
