Nic Hubbard got a reaction from barefootguru in Becoming a patron
You can become a patron on the Cachly Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/cachly There are various levels. I have tried to advertise it in various places but hard to get the word out to all users without spamming them, which I don't want to do.
I need to check to see if Apple allows an app to open Patreon.

Absolutely. I will be picking up my new Series 5 on Friday to build out this feature.

Nic Hubbard reacted to Team DEMP in 2 devices
As long as you are connecting to the Apple App Store using the same Apple Id, you should be able to download Cachly across multiple devices. You need to be on iOS 10 or later.

Nic Hubbard reacted to Ajax in Multiple custom tiles URL in one map
Hello and thanks for answer.
I'm from Czech Republic, here is example:
aerial tile:
https://mapserver.mapy.cz/bing/11-1120-705 label tile:
https://mapserver.mapy.cz/hybrid-sparse-m/11-1120-705 In leaflet:
map = L.map(canvas, options) layers = [ L.tileLayer('//mapserver.mapy.cz/bing/{z}-{x}-{y}', mapySatMapOptions), L.tileLayer('//mapserver.mapy.cz/hybrid-sparse-m/{z}-{x}-{y}', mapySatMapOptions).bringToFront() ]; for(i = 0; i < layers.length; i++) { map.addLayer(layers[i]); } I'm surprised that I'm alone with this request. Please, consider implementing. Thanks

Translations in Cachly come from Cachly volunteer translators. Is this something you would be interested in doing or know someone who would?

Nic Hubbard reacted to Bunkshyde in Waypoint - New and Edit Problems with Lon and Lat
Thanks Nic,
I am travelling in northern Australia (Cape York) and just found some (rare) mobile data signal.
I updated Cachly to 5.2.2 (8) and can no longer replicate the problem
Thanks for the prompt response.

Nic Hubbard reacted to Team DEMP in Does Cachly not load all Caches?
I determined one of the caches in your screen and then loaded that cache in Live view. I then kept loading more and they all loaded for me. See the screenshot below.
You have a large number of caches loaded in your Live view screen - might you have got your daily limit of caches that geocaching.Com allows you to load? You can check by going to More in the bottom right of the main Cachly screen, then selecting Usage and scrolling down within the Usage screen.

Nic Hubbard got a reaction from barefootguru in Filter on owner name is case sensitive?
In this specific case you are using the MATCHES operator which is a regex style match, so this would be cast sensitive. You would need to do a specific regex case insensitive match like
(?i)skindo in order to make this work.
You can use a different operator like Begins with or Contains to ignore case.

Nic Hubbard got a reaction from barefootguru in Request failed
There will be additional fixes for this coming in our 5.2 version. These were being caused by the new geocaching.com API changes.

Nic Hubbard got a reaction from Highlands_guy in New cache alert?
I don't use the Official app, but I had thought there were notifications, but I could be wrong.
When you get the email, you can long press on the link and copy it, then paste that into Cachly's search field and it will load that cache.

Nic Hubbard got a reaction from frso80 in Stop Cachly from zooming in when i set it to track my movement.
I agree there is room for improvement. I will look at past a certain zoom level, only center the map and don't zoom in. Meaning, if you are looking at the whole world, tapping the location button would zoom and center. But, if you have already manually zoomed in to a certain level, Cachly would honor that level and just center the map.

Nic Hubbard got a reaction from frso80 in Stop Cachly from zooming in when i set it to track my movement.
No, there comes a point when too much user configuration just make an app confusing. Cachly needs to be a mix of intuitive and easy to use while being powerful.

Nic Hubbard reacted to Vasco Galvao in Purge Logs
It would be a really nice tweak... please considere this ideia... It would speed up all my offline lists. I have more than 500k logs for 5000 geocaches, it’s a lot!!

Nic Hubbard reacted to Highlands_guy in How to convert additional waypoints to corrected coords
No I hadn't, but just did. Yes, that's much easier than copy coordinated, create new way point, paste etc.
It would be a "nice to have" to add a "Set as corrected Coordinates" option, but this is much better than the way I was doing it.

Thanks, looks like an issue that one of our beta testers reported as well. We will get this fixed Thanks!

Nic Hubbard reacted to NLBokkie in Export list to GPX as non-zip file
@ Team DEMP
I'm using the standard IOS Mail functionality. When I receive a zipped GPX-file and select it, the preview page only gives a link to "Preview Content". Opening the link shows the XML of the GPX.
But now you mention it, I hadn't noticed the share button in the right top of the ZIPped-file's preview page before. That does indeed give me an option to "Copy to Chachly". So this "issue" is solved now. Thanks for helping out.

Nic Hubbard got a reaction from NLBokkie in Integration of Adventure Labs
Unfortunately this is out of our hands. Lab caches are not included in the partner API, so we are not able to include them at this time.
