Team DEMP got a reaction from barefootguru in Drive to...
The official app seems similar to me but maybe I'm missing your steps. There is a car icon that launches a list of navigation/routing apps and when you select one, it launches that app w/ routing directions, if the app supports routing. Cachly is the same for me once you select the Navigation icon for the cache. There is also a shortcut on the main map screen that if you long press the callout for a selected cache, you have the option to Navigate right from the main map screen without going to the cache first. See the screenshot I will attach.

Team DEMP got a reaction from Bolling in Having to pay again for the new version?
On March 18, this was posted to Facebook, far and away the most active place for discussing Cachly - https://www.facebook.com/share/p/v9i5QJRPvmtyCrRN/?mibextid=K35XfP
Betrayed? It is $5!! You didn’t get $5 worth of value since you purchased?
I’m not sure where you are located and how things work in your region but I could get a new iphone from my cell carrier if I switched to their service now but I can’t, as an existing customer for 15 years of loyal service paying $200/mo get anything free. $2500/ year * 15 years = $37k paid and I don’t get anything yet someone new that paid them nothing gets a free phone . Hmmmm .
The developer worked on this release for 2 years to add all the new features. During those 2 years it cost him tens of thousands of dollars in keeping the maps updated and the fees to allow the downloads you enjoyed. We are talking about $5 as your cost per year to try and help make it less of a burden on the developer who does this for us to have the best app to use in this hobby you probably spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on a year. It’s really absurd we are even having this discussion.

Team DEMP got a reaction from barefootguru in Choose from 3 different formats for copying
Here's a screenshot of it in action. Long press the coordinates near the top of the page and it will offer the 3 options.

Team DEMP got a reaction from barefootguru in What's the 'Backups' under 'Usage'
I'm not sure why the one backup listed is 21MB and the Usage is reporting 2GB. It is ok to delete the backups.

Team DEMP got a reaction from Nic Hubbard in Three caches limit
Welcome to Geocaching and Cachly.
The 3 cache limit is not Cachly but Groundspeak/Geocaching.com . The last I recall, there official app didn't have a 3 cache limit butt restricted the caches to only those with a 1.5 or less difficulty abed terrain rating. Groundspeak imposes the 3 cache limit on partner apps like Cachly but there is no difficulty/terrain limit.
Does it make sense- maybe to Groundspeak. Nothing that Cachly can do though as it's a requirement that Groundspeak requires Cachly and other apps to follow.

Team DEMP got a reaction from Nic Hubbard in "Send Log Now" toggle - keep it off until the user changes it
You can set this as the default. Tap More at the bottom of the main screen. Tap Settings and then scroll to the section with the heading Log Defaults. Toggle the option for Send Log Now so it shows as the screenshot here. That will set the default to what you want when you tell Cachly to log a cache.

Team DEMP reacted to Nic Hubbard in Series 5 Apple Watch and compass
Absolutely. I will be picking up my new Series 5 on Friday to build out this feature.

Team DEMP got a reaction from Nic Hubbard in 2 devices
As long as you are connecting to the Apple App Store using the same Apple Id, you should be able to download Cachly across multiple devices. You need to be on iOS 10 or later.

Team DEMP got a reaction from Nic Hubbard in Does Cachly not load all Caches?
I determined one of the caches in your screen and then loaded that cache in Live view. I then kept loading more and they all loaded for me. See the screenshot below.
You have a large number of caches loaded in your Live view screen - might you have got your daily limit of caches that geocaching.Com allows you to load? You can check by going to More in the bottom right of the main Cachly screen, then selecting Usage and scrolling down within the Usage screen.

Team DEMP got a reaction from Wild Child in Premium Offline maps
All options will get you access to all the premium maps and map extras (contours and hillshades).
The 2 options that include a tip are there as a gesture of support for the developers continued hard work.

Team DEMP got a reaction from NLBokkie in Export list to GPX as non-zip file
You can import a zipped GPX file into cachly today. If you have an email with the zip file, open the email and open the zip file. Tap your mail program's Share icon and you should see Cachly listed. Importing a zip and GPX is the same process.
If the above doesn't work for you, which iPhone mail program are you using and which step in the process stops you from proceeding?

Team DEMP got a reaction from Bolling in Google indexing of the wiki
Google has done a nice job of indexing the wiki content for anyone that searches without coming to the wiki first. My testing shows Google returning forum hits first (all grouped in the top search result) and then the most relevant Wiki pages. If people search for answers to their questions (a big IF), the effort put into the Wiki should definitely pay off. Nice job all!

Team DEMP got a reaction from Gdsdizz in Getting GPX file on iPhone
The 2 primary ways would be emailing it to yourself or using dropbox.

Team DEMP reacted to Thot in Learning Issues
I think you broke the code. I turned off smart quotes and the search seems to be working.
Many thanks to you and Team DEMP

Team DEMP reacted to rragan in Learning Issues
I think your problem is that you copied the search text from someplace like MS Word that uses Smart Quotes. Look carefully at your screenshot and you can see the apostrophe and quote both slant to the left. Compare that with these characters in the cache titles. A smart quote will not match a plain quote. Try using plain quotes and apostrophes when searching.

What have you done on the screenshot you pasted?
After you select the GPX/ZIP from Dropbox, you seen the screenshot you posted. You now need to click into Choose offline list select an existing offline list or click + in the top right and create a new offline list. Then on the screenshot above enable Save Images if you want. Import will be enabled in the top right after you select a list to import the caches into.
Then to see the import caches, at the bottom of Cachly, select Offline and then the list you import them into and hopefully you see what you'd expect.

Team DEMP got a reaction from Gdsdizz in Learning Issues
1 - Give the following a try and see if it helps - http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/Getting_Started_with_Cachly
a - See http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/Live_Usage#Search_Options and http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/Search_Options
b - Might want to know a bit more. There are different ways to get an offline list of caches on Cachly. How are you creating the GPX on your computer? What is the source creating the GPX?
c - swipe the offline list to the left and it will show delete

Team DEMP got a reaction from Nic Hubbard in Cachly 4.2 released
I'm about to get on an airplane. If someone has time, can they edit http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/FAQ#Updating_a_log_entry . Now that we can edit within Cachly, this should be updated to reflect the change - editing in Cachly vs Geocaching.com
If not, I'll get to it over the weekend.
Thanks
