Upcoming changes to Profile and Dashboard.
    https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2017/05/updates-coming-to-profile-and-dashboard/
I don't mind the UI refresh but removing the ability to email a user and leaving only Message Center is going to be a problem. The plan for those who like email is that you initiate the conversation via message center and then switch to email since the initial message also goes to email.
This sucks if you use any 3rd party apps like Cachly which provide direct email support by linking to the Send Email page. They will break and have no access to the Private Message API so you will be forced to geocaching.com's app for communication.

Find count is supported but find count today is also useful. Text like "5555 finds and find 5 today" become possible. Also an easy reminder to Cacher of how many finds so far.

I don't think the API gives access to the full HTML of the page, just the user description so Cachly can't help. You reminded me I too struggle with this when solving puzzles. I hacked together a quick bookmarklet that should help. From Cachly description, use the View in Geocaching.com to open in Safari. Then tap this bookmarklet you will create and it will open the background image in a new tab.
There are numerous "How to create Safari Bookmarklet pages on the web but here is one. http://www.ipadforums.net/threads/guide-creating-safari-bookmarklets.72353/
    Here is the bookmarklet definition
    javascript:void(window.open(document.body.background))

Yes, that's the idea and what folks on the podcast were wanting. I could see the utility. I get notification mails of new caches but don't always remember to add them to my Daily list. After awhile, a fresh live search usually turns up several that got lost in the shuffle. For folks not getting notifications, I can see it would be even worse.

Thanks. It was mostly that I can't recall what features I asked for and hate repeating myself.

Currently, I believe every cache shows at least a waypoint count of 1. This is the original coordinate. This seems redundant and makes me look to see what the waypoint is. Consider showing an empty count when only WP is original coord. If corrected coords are done, then show original coord to allow going back easily. Count could be two then.

Agreed Nick. Every time I use it in Geosphere, the initial reading is what becomes the final reading. Not sure why. Maybe some other way to store multiple readings based on several days visited or even just walk 50 feet away and back again and add a new sample.

If someone creates the GPX file it can be transferred to other iPhones without email using AirDrop. No cell connection needed either. This would be easier and more reliable than having each scout key them in.

I just did an experiment and returned to find your note. As you say, the Compass plays no role. I was trying to project a final location and using 52° magnetic North was specified. Using Cachly project gives the right answer for true North but not magnetic. I looked up the local declination of 13.5 degrees and corrected the heading to 65° and got the correct answer. It would be wonderful if projection could let you choose true or magnetic for the heading but declination varies by location. If you could read out the compass and compare to GPS to get local declination for magnetic, that would be cool but I don't know if that is possible.
I found a free Declination app so that will suffice for the rare case the CO wants. Magnetic North projection.

There are a couple of ways to go. Clear Map on Refresh:off, Use Map Center in Search:on. If you are picking onesies like an easy grab at a freeway exit, just save it to the list. If you want to grab three at once, zoom in to those and do Save Visible to the list. Then move the map down the road. The next search will show you new ones. Repeat the process.
An alternative is to highlight the ones you want. Then you can do Save Highlighted when you have all the ones you want (assuming no other random highlighted caches are in the view)
I have asked for a search variant that limits the search area to the visible window. That saves loading caches I won't use when doing a manual caches on a route like above.

When it takes you to the official app, look in the upper right and click on geocaching.com. This will take you to Safari and flip the default to use Safari in the future.

25 loads faster than 50 over a slow connection and often the nearest 20 will keep me busy for a while. No point loading caches I may never get to. It's easy to ask for the next 25 if I'm not happy. It's about startup delays too if auto load nearby caches is on. Also once the option to do a full load on Live caches is present the delay in loading 50 will increase b

Having to guess/remember the meaning of dot color is not great to my mind. I screen captured Looking4Cache app and blended their use of icons with a Cachly screen cap. The result shows that the more mnemonic icon circles they use ought to take no more real estate than is currently used. A blue frownie, yellow smiley, etc then are like the map view.

This is something I use heavily in Geosphere to extend capabilities. Bookmark-like support opens up many other integrations like Street View, watch cache, email/message owner, SMS cache link, open in Chrome, and others. Cachly has a few of these native but where users can define/share such integrations then feature work can be aimed at other things.

I have seen this sort of behavior with Geosphere fairly frequently. I mostly ignore the compass direction arrow as long as the distance is going down. My guess is that it is related to the phone compass getting messed with by the large hunk of metal on wheels that I arrived in. It eventually sorts itself out over time. If I have data, I will use Sat view to direct my walking direction.

When deciding a cache or several caches to tackle next, having a direction from current position in the list view is helpful. It should update dynamically as you walk so you can see alternative caches at a glance and where they are (distance and direction) as you hike along.

There are cachers who collect county finds. A map overlay that shows the boundaries of counties would be helpful in planning and when in the field. This would be an option you could turn on/off.

Ah spotted them. They vanish if you are zoomed wide, turn to dashed orange lines as you zoom in and then go sort of solid brown as you zoom in further. Odd. I was hoping for something more like this. See pic.

This functionality has already been completed in the brand new coordinate parser in 2.1. Detection of coordinates in all formats will also be across the app.

It might be nice to stop the automatic search of caches (especially at the opening of Cachly) Sometimes I know that the caches around me do not interest me (already logged) and that I want to go in a very precise place . I have to wait until cachly has finished the first search to be able to move on the map and go again to rescan the caches in real time. I would like to recall on the arrow that initially turns, that stops research for example.
