  1. So sounds like it is working better?
  2. This fix was just implemented within the last hour.
  3. This would require having all those past 2 years of logs saved offline though. Is this what you were planning?
  4. Geocaching HQ has implemented a fix for this. Are you able to test and see if it is working better for you now?
  5. The best way would be to import a GPX file into Cachly with all of the caches. This would allow those caches to function like normal caches, expect and geocaching.com functionality wouldn't work, since they wouldn't be registered caches. There are various apps that can create GPX files such as GSAK on the PC and iCaching on the Mac. Does this help?
  6. Do you live close to an Apple Store where you could take it to the Genius Bar to see if they can diagnose the compass issue?
  7. These are follow modes. 1 is normal, 2 is follow, 3 is follow with heading. So 2 will follow you and move the map but will not change the heading of the map. This is in our 3.0 beta. Remind me what iPhone you are using? I am wondering if there is a hardware issue here. A huge amount of Cachly users are also on iOS 10.3 and we have not had any other reports of this issue.
  8. You can double tap the screen to zoom in or two finder tap to zoom out without the map orientation changing. In 3.0 we also have a new heading indicator that shows on the current location point, which is very helpful. Have you checked the iOS Compass app to see if it shows the same as Cachly? Here is something to try: Open the Settings application. Tap on Privacy. Select on Location Services. Kill the Compass and afterward switch it back ON. Also, make sure that Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Compass Calibration is turned on.

The compass wouldn't affect the actual projection math. Can you show me the cache or explain more what you are meaning?
  10. This is a feature that I plan to add. Hoping to get it into 3.0.1.
  11. What navigation setting are you meaning? Did you see my question about if the iOS Compass app works correctly? And if you are using a case that has metal on it?
  12. @JohnCNA isn't using the beta, so your results will be different. @JohnCNA in the current 2.0.3 version search for coordinates is broken. Apple updated an API we used and they broke our coordinate search. This is fixed in 3.0 with our own custom coordinate parser.
  13. Have you had this issue before? Can you please try logging the cache, then when it does work go to the More tab and use the Email Support option. Then make sure to send Diagnostics data. This will allow us to see what data is trying to get sent to the geocaching.com API and will give me a much better idea of what is going on.
  14. This is not a problem with the compass at all. This is the standard way that maps work in iOS and in the iOS Maps app. We do have a feature request in for developing our own functionality for this to "lock" the map rotation mode. Hoping it can make it into 3.0.1. You are writing letters to Tim Cook about this? I would guarantee that Apple knows the difference between magnetic and true north, they have thousands of developers working on iOS. What specific issue are you having pertaining to magnetic and true north? One other important question, do you have a case on your phone that has metal in it? Also, does the iOS Compass app work correctly while Cachly compass does not?
  15. These timeout issues are all on the geocaching.com server end, we aren't able to do anything at this point to fix the issue. I have reported it so they do know about the issue.
  16. The feature that @rragan mentioned will be coming but not in 3.0. Hoping I can get it added in 3.0.1.
  17. Unfortinetly this isn't something we are able to change even if we wanted to. Since we are a Geocaching HQ partner developer we use their API and abide by their license agreement. In doing so they are the ones that impose the restrictions, not us. I do wish we could offer more for regular users, and if Geocaching HQ changes this in the future we will be sure to let you know!
  18. Do you mean the map rotating with your heading? If so just tap the current location button to toggle this mode.
  19. Was it an old cache saved from a previous version of Cachly?
  20. I just tested this in Cachly 2.0.3 and 3.0 and both show the correct icon with a red slash through it indicating it is not wheelchair accessible. Is this a Live cache or Offline?
  21. In version 3.0 this issue is fixed.
  22. Do you mean from the Live tab? This has always been available by tapping the ... button on the top left.
  23. Cachly has an option to turn on compass calibration, but I do think I heard somewhere that compass calibration is no longer needed in 10.3. Does the iOS compass work correctly or is that not working either? It it is not working then this is showing there is something wrong with the compass on your phone rather than it being Cachly specific.
  24. You must login to Cachly for the first time then you can use it offline. You won't be asked to login again for 60 days.
