  1. When you are loading caches on the map, these are "lite" caches. The API allows 10,000 of these to be loaded per 24 hours. If you download caches to an offline list you have the option of saving "lite" or "full" caches. Lite again has the 10k limit, while Premium users get 6,000 full cache downloads which means hint, description, logs, waypoints, trackables and other small bits of data. Regular users only get 3 of these per 24 hours. No limit. This depends on if you download lite or full. Lite only gives you basic data such as coordinates, title, GC code, difficulty, terrain, cache size, CO, date placed, etc. Full will give you all this plus hint/description, last 30 logs, waypoints, trackables and more.
  2. This must be an API issue.
  3. I have never seen this in Geosphere, tested it and can't get it to work. I was actually looking in this feature the other day. Apple might be adding this for free to developers in iOS 11, but will have to wait and see.
  4. This issue has been fixed and will be in 3.0.3.
  5. Looking into this issue and will get back to you.
  6. It hasn't yet been added to Cachly because it requires we develop our own follow modes. Meaning we write the code for the mode that follows the current user location, as well as the mode that follows with heading. Both of those modes are given to developers for "free" in the iOS Maps SKD. Meaning we don't have to write any code to make this all happen. Of course we could develop our own way of doing it, and allow "locking" of the follow mode. It isn't a question of being able to do it, but a question of how much time will it take to develop this feature, and how many users is it causing an issue for. It seems to me that it is an issue for a small number of vocal users. But other users have never even noticed that it is a problem. It is the standard way that maps on iOS work, so at this point we do not consider it a bug. But, for sure it is on the feature list to look into developing on our own.
  7. Can you reproduce this every time? I am testing by zooming to the max then tapping the location two times to go to the heading follow mode. This keeps me at the same zoom level but allows the map to rotate with my heading.
  8. Yes, both of these things would greatly improve the UX for this feature. Trying to figure out when I can get these added.
  9. Will add this as a feature.
  10. Yes, this is on the list of features that will be added in a future version.
  11. Yes, this was fixed. I will look into the wrong order issue. Thanks!
  12. Hitting this limit is pretty hard. Like @rragan said you would have had to refresh some large offline lists with the "Full" option. This option downloads hint, description, logs, etc.
  13. Online maps shouldn't be slower than any other app. We use standard loading of this map layers. Offline maps display speed depends on your device. When you load offline maps the data for each time had to be fetched then rendered into an image for you to see. This is why it can be slower sometimes especially on maps with a lot of objects like a downtown area.
  14. This would only be if the app is the current app being used or if an app uses location services in the background. Cachly only uses GPS while Cachly is active, not in the background.
  15. Thanks for the suggestion. Multiple users would be a massive feature to implement and isn't something we have planned for Cachly.
  16. Alright, FINALLY replicated this after realizing it took both sorting by distance and the automatic re-sort option to be turned on. This has been fixed for sure in beta 5. Please confirm when released.
  17. Another thing if out in the field to save battery is to put your phone into Airplane mode. GPS will still work but everything else will be turned off. This will maximize your battery when caching.
  18. Compass data comes from what Apple calls Location Services, so there will be radios inside your phone being used for this process that take battery. When on the compass tab GPS is still in use.
  19. Cachly doesn't use location services and differently than other apps. GPS is only turned on while on screens with a map and is turned off when you navigate away from those screens. This doesn't sound like something that Cachly could be causing. That quick of of a battery drain isn't likely something that an app can do. What device are you using and what version of iOS? Does it have an old battery?
  20. Sure. Just use the "Email Support" option in the more tab to request access.
  21. Beta 4 was released. Can anyone having this issue verify if it was fixed for them or not?
  22. This is a frustrating bug that I have never seen and cannot reproduce. Sending out beta 4 today to see if it is fixed for those that can reproduce.

    APP

No, there are no plans for an Android version.
  24. I cannot replicate this issue and have never seen it happen before in the 5 months of 3.0 development. I have had two other users report this though. What device are you using and how large is your list?
