In fact themes implies choosing or switching map display — I’d rather have a well-designed default. All I will say is, Offline Maps are not something I have forgotten about. I converted a bunch of local park map PDFs into the map layers for use on my garmin and it's pretty darn handy. For sure something that would be cool to add! 0 ferda-mravenec 5 Report post Posted April 16, 2018 Hello Nic. Any news regarding this feature? I am asking as a hiker. Currently there is no way to display colored hiking trails, cycling trails, hill shades and/or contour lines. So it is impossible find a proper way to hunt any mountain cache down. Along this request could be a request for 3rd party themes for vector maps. Custom offline vector maps/themes could be top feature of the app. PS: maybe downloaded vector map contains such an information like I mentione above, but the theme used inside the app doesn't show them? Is there any limitation why this feature is not possible to implement? Thanks, Ferda

There is no technical limitation for this, other than I am the sole developer of Cachly, so I have to prioritize features.
0 ferda-mravenec 5 Report post Posted April 22, 2018 Yop, I have. Bike trails are colored in non-offline mode (Open Maps - Open Cycle) only. But this is useles if you are out of the signal and can not use online maps. One way could be to download a bit more information along the map itself and to implement theme support for offline usage. Finger crossed for themes Thanks. 1 Nobby Y reacted to this
0 ChrisDen 87 Report post Posted April 23, 2018 The only problem I have with the maps are that minor roads have darker colour than major ones.

0 ferda-mravenec 5 Report post Posted May 15, 2018 @Nic Hubbard Hi. For sure, take a look at Czech Republic, for example N 49° 38.672', E 18° 35.550'. There are planty of bike trails shown within online map but not in offline map. Offline maps also misses hill shades and contour lines. Please, add support for themes for offline maps! 2 Nobby Y and DerLakaiMS reacted to this

0 barefootguru 64 Report post Posted May 17, 2018 I meant having a decent default is the way to go, not that Cachly’s isn’t (Yes there’s areas it could be improved)
