There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of Geocachers using the various geocaching apps on mobile devices, as well as over 5 years worth of happy Cachly customers. We haven't ever had this issue reported, so that is why I was thinking it could be an issue with the device itself.

Have you tried the test at home, outside of a car? The red arrow on our current location is pointing in the direction of the top of your phone. If this isn't happening, when comparing it to the map you are seeing, then there is likely and issue with the compass in your iPhone.

Two not recent bugs, Google maps zoom and offline corrected coordinate waypoints

Thanks for posting those replication steps. I am still working on this bug. -
That is great news!

Unfortunately no. I cannot replicate this, and no other user has reported this, so it remains a very curious issue. If you can do some testing, it would be helpful. Have you tried navigating to the cache from a long distance and not turning off your phone to see if you get to the cache and the distance continues to update? One last thing could be that the GPS and location services in your older iPhone isn't working as well anymore, that is just a hunch, but the last thing I can think of.
-
Yes, this is how it currently works. Do you have any geocaching.com Drafts or pending logs in Cachly that would be changing the count?
-
If you browse to the Cachly documents folder by going to the Files app in iOS, or on your computer, you can delete the downloading_session_with_config.plist file.
-
You don't have to stay on the downloads screen, but downloading does pause when you leave Cachly. Does this happen for all PQs? Or just this specific one? I tested my own PQ with 2322 images and they all downloaded.
-
Are you able to share the PQ or how you created it?
-
This is very strange. I cannot replicate this issue, and we have never had any other users report this, it always works. What phone are you using? Do other apps have issues with location services?

filtering on highlight color doesn't work sometimes
Nic Hubbard replied to Pfalstad's topic in Support
Manual sync is the option you want. It shouldn't add highlights to other caches, so not sure what happened when you were doing that. -
It sounds like they must have changed the way other apps can connect to it.
-
No, unfortunately I can't say a date yet.
-
Yes, that is the only supported import type. There aren't any plans to support other types at the moment. Our recommendation is to use a zipped GPX for importing into Cachly to save on data size.

There were issues with generating the Australia maps recently and I restarted the generation process yesterday. Those maps should be done in a few days and I will post back where when it is complete. Sorry about the inconvenience.- 20 replies

This is never a good idea as you will loose all data. I do have a fix for the initial bug. I will be submitting it to Apple today for approval. What specific map are you loading?- 20 replies

Can you provide a few of the GC codes that aren't loading images? I want to create a PQ that includes those.- 20 replies

That is a cache owner image. Perhaps. Can you test it on just phone data?- 20 replies

Nic Hubbard replied to GC_Diver's topic in Support
Hmm, I cannot replicate this on a PQ with 100 Earthcaches and 2200 images. Does this happen just for that PQ or all PQs that you have? Also, are all 350 caches missing image downloads? The one thing I could maybe guess is that the Geocaching image server timed out for some of the download requests.- 20 replies

Just curious. How many caches are in the PQ? And, how many images was it downloading?- 20 replies

No, that is a custom map that geocaching.com has created. It is also sourced from openstreetmaps like our Premium Offline maps are. Have you used our Premium Offline maps? They have beautiful hillshades and contours as well as very detailed data. This is something that I would love to provide as a paid option in the future, as licensing satellite imagery is quite expensive.

Automatically update caches on a map
Nic Hubbard replied to bearpanda's question in Feature Requests
c:geo hacks the geocaching.com and uses screen scraping. They basically illegally use the methods from the website and make them work in their app. Which, HQ does not allow.
