Yep. Badge icons can be annoying. I keep them off for the majority of my apps including Cachly.
My favorite podcast app Overdrive has the following option:
Show the number of unfinished episodes on Overcast’s icon to add stress to your life.
-
No, it can't be done. Nic has no control over that functionality.
What you can do is copy the GC link from the email and paste it directly into the Cachly search bar.

This past weekend I worked on several multi And puzzled caches. I would read the cache description scroll down to find info on the stage and then once I gathered information on the stage will go to the Cache Note page to store the information for future reference. Sometimes I would need to switch back to the cache description three further details then I have to re-scroll back down the current stage. This back-and-forth and scrolling got a little tiresome.
So I have a couple of future suggestions:
1) Have a temporary bookmark of the position in the cache description text. For example if I scroll down bookmark that plosition so that if I leave the description and come back to it it should automatically scroll to that position. This can be a temporary bookmark that is a raced once I leave the cache detail completely.
2) An enhancement is to use this bookmark in the cache note section for those devices with 3-D touch. A hard press will display that section of the cache description. Then I could repeatedly view the section of the cast description and make my notes without going back-and-forth.

@GeoKen. Doesn't the Cache Note accommomplish your purpose?

I've had issues where DropBox app is updated and I have to do "Method 1" twice the first time. After that no issues until Dropbox app is updated again.

Well, since we already have Saved Locations and creatable offline geocaches, I don't see an additional POI option being created. If anything we would enhance the create geocache option to include images.
You have my vote on this. There's already a good backlog of enhancements that support Geocaching which is the primary function most of us want.

I have seen large lists contain well over 500k logs, and each log itself might contain image data. Removing this would likely speed up fetching and loading of offline lists.
No I meant if a cache only gets five logs in two years then the number of logs wouldn't get big -- humor that didn't pass through the web properly. I totally agree that the purge option is a good idea.

Last 5 would be a good default with option for more
I as agree. I'd rather have a number than a date based purge. In NYC the last five logs might be today, but in the country it might be be two years ago (granted then there is no real reason to purge them).

I personally like seeing the waypoints even if I pick one. Even after using Cachly for a couple of years I'm not sure I knew that you could choose one from the map.
-
I think @ChrisDen's point was that the behavior is not consistent. Selecting a waypoint from a map still shows all waypoints on the map. If selecting from the list only the current waypoint is shown on the map.

I was thinking more like this. The entire line that the Pending Logs are listed on is the link. No need to call up the specific log details, just link directly from the list.
Then how would you edit your log.
I do think the current option works well if the delete wasn’t quite so easy to perform or there was an Undo.

Agree. This is on the feature list.
Yep. I requested this early on (not saying I'm the only one).

Perfect. Except the fist two I tried, I deleted. Can't you just link the cache name in the list back to the cache?
Wow, you are right. It's very easy to accidentally delete the log. I agree with you, having the option to view the cache here would be more more intuitive.

Swipe left on the log. Select Options and View Cache.

I would suggest adding a section on what is geocaching and what the app does. I have a feeling some people download it because it shows up in the Navigation section of iTunes and then expect to use it to navigate.

Looks good. It might be worthwhile pointing out that the red triangle means corrected coordinate although most people would also figure it out from your example.
Also the term "FTF status" could be confusing.

Is there a way to select a default map when navigating to a cache to eliminate a step?
If you mean separate default maps for searching and navigation than this was requested previously.
I hope to see it implemented as well.

@Fraslagu, there's a couple things you can do about this. One (probably the best in your case) is move the trackables to your collection on geocaching.com--this will totally hide them from view in logging on caches, but they'll remain active with your account.
I would second that recommendation.

Which one? Sean Boots?
Yes

It was nice to hear Cachly referenced a couple of times in the recent Podcast.

I agree with both way sync.
Coordinate projection when off line (no cell coverage)

Let's say I travel from US to Canada. With my cell plan in can get calls but have no data. If I run off cellular data off completely instead of just roaming mode like @Highlands_guy tried, how would Cachly behave?
