Just curios why you want to import a .ggz. Isn't it just a .gpx in a specific format for Garmin? As for importing the database itself, I can't see how that would ever be worth Nic's time to develop. There would be so much to a database that's not imported.

5.2 is not out yet. It will be released on 7/22.
-
I think this is fixed in V5.2.
-
This would have to be an offline filter. The API wouldn't provide enough information for this to be live.
-
Personal notes should sync with geocaching.com. Corrected Coordinates will also sync if marked as a corrected coordinate.
-
In the meantime, if you are a Windows user, you could use GSAK to do this. Export your lists at GPX files and open them in GSAK. Purge the logs and re-import. Of course if you use multiple highlight colors you would lose that if you deleted your lists before import.
-
That is a logical place to add this option.

Not when using Google Maps.

@Twinklekitkat I am also on 11.4.1. I agree, I did not get the coord link as @rragan showed. I followed the instructions that @ACME WildCachers posted.
-
Thanks @ACME WildCachers That solution appears to have worked for me. I stand corrected in my initial response to @Twinklekitkat.

In email I can bypass the official app. I have Spark app for email and set the default browser fire the app as Firefox so it seems to bypass the app overtake.

Add button on trackables to switch map
Bolling replied to barefootguru's question in Feature Requests
Ok. It's bugged me before. I found it in the forum posted by yours truly in June 2017 but it was in the beta testing discussion not as a formal feature request. -
For me it works on my iPad since I don't have the official app installed there but on my phone it opens the official app.

Add button on trackables to switch map
Bolling replied to barefootguru's question in Feature Requests
I think this is already on the request list but if not I gave it a vote. This was bugging me last week while traveling. -
You can't. Apple controls that. The URL is owned by geocaching.com and they've locked it in with Apple to open the app if it is installed.

Once you select Apple Maps can't you then navigate with CarPlay?
-
Locally I use GSAK to do this. I'm a pain.

Coordinate projection when off line (no cell coverage)
Bolling replied to Highlands_guy's topic in General Questions
Let's say I travel from US to Canada. With my cell plan in can get calls but have no data. If I run off cellular data off completely instead of just roaming mode like @Highlands_guy tried, how would Cachly behave? -
Yep. Badge icons can be annoying. I keep them off for the majority of my apps including Cachly. My favorite podcast app Overdrive has the following option: Show the number of unfinished episodes on Overcast’s icon to add stress to your life.
-
No, it can't be done. Nic has no control over that functionality. What you can do is copy the GC link from the email and paste it directly into the Cachly search bar.

This past weekend I worked on several multi And puzzled caches. I would read the cache description scroll down to find info on the stage and then once I gathered information on the stage will go to the Cache Note page to store the information for future reference. Sometimes I would need to switch back to the cache description three further details then I have to re-scroll back down the current stage. This back-and-forth and scrolling got a little tiresome. So I have a couple of future suggestions: 1) Have a temporary bookmark of the position in the cache description text. For example if I scroll down bookmark that plosition so that if I leave the description and come back to it it should automatically scroll to that position. This can be a temporary bookmark that is a raced once I leave the cache detail completely. 2) An enhancement is to use this bookmark in the cache note section for those devices with 3-D touch. A hard press will display that section of the cache description. Then I could repeatedly view the section of the cast description and make my notes without going back-and-forth.

@GeoKen. Doesn't the Cache Note accommomplish your purpose?

Dropbox gives "error importing" but it works exporting
Bolling replied to wandering4cache's topic in General Questions
I've had issues where DropBox app is updated and I have to do "Method 1" twice the first time. After that no issues until Dropbox app is updated again. -
Themes for offline maps; Move filtered caches; POI support
Bolling replied to ferda-mravenec's question in Feature Requests
You have my vote on this. There's already a good backlog of enhancements that support Geocaching which is the primary function most of us want. -
No I meant if a cache only gets five logs in two years then the number of logs wouldn't get big -- humor that didn't pass through the web properly. I totally agree that the purge option is a good idea.
