  2. When you are logging a cache, to store the draft log locally, you want Send Log Now disabled (white) and Save as Draft enabled (green). After you submit that local draft log, you should see the More icon at the bottom of the main screen show the number 1 indicating 1 local draft log that needs to be sent to Geocaching.Com For a bit more detail on the above mentioned options see http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/Log_Cache#Title_Bar Does that work for you now?
  3. Google keyboard has swipe and microphone if you want to try that and don't fear the Google machine.
  4. I'm not one to normally post that I'm not interested just because I don't see a big benefit but here I would really prefer efforts be focused on other features.
  5. Would be handy if it was possible to implement. I use it in Project GC when I'm guesstimating hiking distance between caches.
  6. I have considered doing this when I first arrive to cut down on my search times!
  7. The 2 primary ways would be emailing it to yourself or using dropbox. http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/Load_GPX_caches_by_email http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/Load_GPX_caches_by_Dropbox
  8. Google has done a nice job of indexing the wiki content for anyone that searches without coming to the wiki first. My testing shows Google returning forum hits first (all grouped in the top search result) and then the most relevant Wiki pages. If people search for answers to their questions (a big IF), the effort put into the Wiki should definitely pay off. Nice job all!
  9. I moved the info to a new FAQ and linked to it from a few places. Feel free to edit, add other references, etc. http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/FAQ#Corrected_Coordinates_and_loading.2Fdisplaying_on_the_Live_Map
  10. Would it be better suited to have that content listed on its own as a FAQ and then linked to from the various sections?
  11. It is currently noted within http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/How_Tos#Add_Corrected_coordinates_to_a_Puzzle.2FUnknown_Cache . That wouldn't help the other place(s) that might also need to have the info presented in the results.
  12. Not sure where you are located, but you can use Project-GC to see activity of new caches. Wherigo caches placed by day in the US is viewable at https://project-gc.com/Statistics/HiddenPerDate?country=United+States&type[]=Wherigo+Cache&submit=Filter . But as I noted in my initial reply, the activity is a tiny percentage of new caches placed or caches that are found. There are many 1000's active in the US. I'm also not aware of dropping a Wherigo cartridge into notepad and the final coords being visible, but I never looked that hard.
  13. I've done a couple of them and though I'm sure a better user experience can be achieved, the amount of Wherigo caches and cachers is a tiny fraction of the other cache types. An effort, which is likely rather significant, would take away the limited resources from helping a much larger audience.
  14. I looked in the wiki and it's referenced but under login issues - http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/FAQ#I_can_login_to_geocaching.com_with_my_username.2Fpassword_but_it_won.27t_work_in_Cachly
  15. Nice eyes! I didn't notice that looking at the thread on my phone. Time for new/stronger glasses!
  16. Not a problem and there are plenty more folks here to help. Maybe my patience comes from remotely helping my parents & in-laws since the 80s, though I normally have a lot more patience for folks that aren't my family! My suggestion selecting a different list was to just have the app open something and then re-read the list that was downloaded. It might be an option to delete the offline list you recently created and re-import the GPX from Dropbox. You can delete the offline list by selecting the Offline icon at the bottom of the screen and then next to your list, select the three dots ( ... ) and then select delete. Then go thru the steps you did earlier. Maybe this attempt, don't download the images when you do the Dropbox import and see how things end up.
  17. I loaded the 559 caches in the GPX. Search for: Curse of the shows 30 caches Search for: BB's ( shows 51 caches Search for: BB's (1) shows 6 caches Search for: BB's (1) " shows 1 cache Your exact search for: Bb's (1) "curse shows 1 cache So I show a cache always returned. I'm running a beta version but I'm not sure that was an issue that was addressed. I can test later at home on another device that is running the public version to check. If you haven't yet tried, select a different offline list or close Cachly and restart and see if something gets reset.
  18. Might help, if you able, to upload the GPX and others can test. Not sure what you are searching on and not finding. You can also, after loading the GPX into an offline list, within Cachly, update the caches that were loaded and it will pull in the regular data from geocaching.com, in case it is different from the GPX exported from GSAK.
  19. What have you done on the screenshot you pasted? After you select the GPX/ZIP from Dropbox, you seen the screenshot you posted. You now need to click into Choose offline list select an existing offline list or click + in the top right and create a new offline list. Then on the screenshot above enable Save Images if you want. Import will be enabled in the top right after you select a list to import the caches into. Then to see the import caches, at the bottom of Cachly, select Offline and then the list you import them into and hopefully you see what you'd expect.
  20. I added a hyperlink on http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/Offline_Usage#Using_Offline_Mode_of_Cachly to the new steps for email and also for Dropbox. I was able to answer another users questions using links to the Wiki accept for this one. I needed to run out last night so thanks for adding!
  21. In the wiki I couldn't locate the steps to import a GPX attachment from an email.
  22. On the same gear icon where you disabled display your previous finds, you can scroll down to the bottom of that screen and deselect Puzzle caches. All the cache types are listed at the bottom of the Search Options screen. For a GSAK GPX, you can mail it to yourself or if you use Dropbox, place it there. If you use Dropbox, under the More screen (bottom right of the main screen) there's an option to Import from Dropbox. If you use email, open your email program on the iphone, select the GPX (.gpx or .zip) and then click the Share icon which will allow you to select Cachly.
  23. 1 - Give the following a try and see if it helps - http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/Getting_Started_with_Cachly a - See http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/Live_Usage#Search_Options and http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/Search_Options b - Might want to know a bit more. There are different ways to get an offline list of caches on Cachly. How are you creating the GPX on your computer? What is the source creating the GPX? c - swipe the offline list to the left and it will show delete
  24. Please see http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/How_Tos#Download_offline_maps and let us know if you have any questions.
  25. Is there a way a regular user can see the date & time for their logged caches? Is GC still screwed up with sometimes passing dates in local time and sometimes not? They REALLY stink with consistently handling date/time/time zones
