Header Indicator Not Pointing in Correct Direction

I was out caching yesterday and was navigating to a cache with Cachly and the header indicator was pointing in the opposit direction than I was walking.

If this happens, can you open Apple Maps and check to see if the heading indicator there is the same as Cachly? Are you using iOS 10.3? If so the compass does automatic calibration, and we have read (not specific to Cachly) that some people are having a hard time getting it to auto calibrate.

Yes I have iOS 10.3. Next time I see this I'll check the apple maps as well

The indicator seemed to work fine for me on my iPhone 6 / iOS 10.3 phone today as long as I was moving in a direction. Standing still or just starting out moving, I expect the phone isn't sure yet or reporting back to the apps a valid direction. After moving a direction for 30 feet, the direction seems to be correct. That's my experience with the direction indicator.

I am also having this problem. 

I've been trying to get my compass to calibrate by turning off/on location services for the compass. 

My actual compass app seems to be correct, but my heading indicator is 180 out. 

Ill keep an eye on it.

Giving your phone a series of rapid back and forth and circular motions helps mine. It's essentially a compass calibration process.
