barefootguru
I do a lot of walking and use the map scale heavily. I miss having it constantly onscreen in the latest version of Cachly; and find it clunky to have to pause a zoom to see it for any period of time. 0 Nic Hubbard
Nothing was changed with this on our end, it must have been an iOS change that affected maps used by apps.
0 barefootguru
Thanks Nic, will submit the feedback to Apple.
0 DerLakaiMS
I was always missing the always-on map scale, my workaround is to have cache radius on which gives some sort of scale to the map. A bit confusing at first, but you get used to it.
0 Nic Hubbard
It is frustrating that Apple changed it and isn't something that I can force to show on the screen always. barefootguru
0 rragan
Are you on ios11? I still see the scale on ios10.
0 DerLakaiMS
On iOS 11 the scale is only shown while you zoom (not while panning)

You can freeze the scale onto the screen after zooming if you hold two fingers on the screen. Try walking around like that for hours. 0 rragan
I found a reference to some new Mapkit code related to the scale. Maybe Nic can make it come back. https://developer.xamarin.com/guides/ios/platform_features/introduction-to-ios11/mapkit/#scale

Thanks everyone for bringing this up, will get it fixed. barefootguru
