This is fixed in 3.1 and will show the cache name.

This is something we have on our list of features. Will see when we can get it added.

It would be different in many ways. Now Cachly loads the logs via API. The simple list can be created without API access (offline). In the list you already have the cache name as it comes from the listing. The list is much more compact. What you can't see on my screenshot is a little search/filter function that let's you find fieldnotes quickly. The grouping by date and the little statistic is a nice but useful feature. When caching with friends, I used this list often to make a screenshot of the caches and then to compare them with my colleagues (sometimes me or someone else forgot to log a cache...).
Above all, I personally just do not see any benefit in reading my own logs. If I need to read one of my logs, then it's a specific one to remind me of the cache again. On your Log-tab I will never ever find a specific log again. I tried to find the log of a cache that I logged only one month ago. It took more than a minute and I could only find it because I still knew the approximate date. No chance to find a log that is six or more months old.
Just to let you know: I do not want to criticize Cachly and your work. It should be a positive input to make the great app even better.

Ok, let me be more precise. Here is what Geosphere shows:

It's a list of the fieldnotes that I have sent to gc.com via Geosphere. The list shows the 'logged' caches in chronological order separated by date and it shows how many caches I have found or not on that date. When tapping on the text it shows the fieldnote or when tapping on the arrow it shows the cache information.
I don't expect that Cachly does the same. But what would be great is if Cachly would save a similar overview. Jumping to the log or listing would be nice too. No API access is needed for this feature. It's 'only' a database with the sent logs.
Hope this makes it more clearer now.

I wonder who is using the "Logs" feature to read the own logs? Sorry, but I find this function somehow useless... No cache name, no find function. Why should I read my own logs at all? That's the reason why I ask this question. Who is using this feature and why?
Instead of my own logs, I would rather like to see a chronological list of all my logged caches (only cache name & GC code instead of the log text) with a daily summary (count of finds, DNF). Something similar to what Geosphere offers. I would often like to see which caches I logged on a given date. For me this feature would be much more useful.

As mentioned in other threads, it'd be great for it to also show all the waypoints as well on the map (with perhaps a toggle to turn it on and off, as it's not always required) - and, for physical waypoints (ie on a multi) to also have 161m circles.
This would help greatly when hiding a new cache and making sure you're well out of the way of any neighbouring cache parts.

I'll add a +1 to this request - it would be good when you open an offline list for it to automatically show your current location as the centrepoint.  I use the offline mode for almost 100% of my caching with the app, so when I open my main list, I'd love it to be showing me the caches around where i currently am.

Perhaps there could be an option for an upload of a cache note to be handled similarly to a pending / offline cache log.  So that the cache note can be edited and go in to a pending list that could be reviewed before approving the upload.
I too have been caught out a couple of times where I've written a huge note, then not had it save/upload, losing all that I'd written.  I use this a lot when doing earthcaches where I copy and paste the questions in the the cache note, then fill in my answers under the questions while in the field.  Saves switching back and forth to the cache description screen.

If it is on multiple lists, it will still be in the DB. Geosphere would show Remove as the action if it were part of some other list and Delete if it truly was gone. This was handy knowledge.
A GS search for a cache by gccode when online or offline would first consult the whole DB and see if it was local and return that result if found. Thus a deleted cache in an offline list could often be recovered. I'm hoping that once you have the full DB searchable, conveniences like these are offered.

If you are online at the time your note will be saved to the geocaching website immediately. If not online it will be saved next time you have Internet access

Btwchen reacted to MrGigabyte in Highlight a filtered set of caches?
Is there anyway to highlight the results of a filter used in an offline list?  For example, today I wanted to highlight a series of caches that all had a a specific phrase in the cache name. I entered that phrase in the search and it returned on the map and in the list, the caches in the series. Now, I wanted to highlight all of them, then clear the filter. So I could see where that series was in relation to other caches. Thee does not seem to be a way to apply highlight to the search results.
Also, I tried to do this in Live view and it would not return the correct caches from the search.    v 3.0 (11)

To expand a bit, Geosphere has the ability to display the proximity circles as an overlay on the map, and it's also set to only show on physical waypoints - posted coordinates for physical cache types, and multi-stage and final waypoints. (reference points, parking/trailhead/virtual etc are not relevant for proximity concerns and so don't show the circle).  It's a very useful feature, especially when planning for cache placement in a busier area.

A little off topic, but I guess there are a lot of "refugees" using Cachly! Great to see an active developer again

Yep. They offline lists appear in the order you create them with the possibility of a manual sorting using the edit option

    Hi
In my humble opinion it is correct how it is implemented now. I wouldn't change it
