  1. You can do that but it does take money for them to run the website. Personally, I've been a Premium member since I started caching in 2007 and think it's well worth the price. Of course we all have unique financial situations and priorities.
  2. "Problem" wasn't the best choice of words. Thanks for considering.
  3. I agree with vanBaarsel, seeing the whole world map isn't usually helpful when searching for caches -- especially when you can only load 50 at a time. I see that beta 5 still has this problem.
  4. I did some caching in New York City and Boston least week. Most of the time Cachly seemed quite accurate. At times it was off but there were also times when checking my location on Google Maps could be a block of too. It still seems to me like more of a phone limitation than a Cachly limitation.
  5. 1) Cachly has pretty good help in the More..Help section. I'd agree though a readable manual would be nice, but I find that they are rare with apps. 2-4) I think a lot of that is coming with 2.1 but I know Nic will fill you in on that. 5) Yes, this is mentioned in the help files. Click on the map layer icon at the bottom of a map. You will see Offline Maps at the top of the list. Namibia is only 11MB.
  6. As a former Geosphere user, I noticed no difference in accuracy on my phone when I switched to Cachly. Not related to caches, sometimes when I open Google Maps the GPS thanks forever to zoom in our has a huge radius. Other times it's right on the money quickly. Depends on many factors as mentioned.
  7. My apologizes. I did check this last night searching by a name of one of my caches (after including them in the search) and came up empty-handed, and then repeated the search with the Code and found the cache. I just checked now and it works as you describe. Plus you have it documented in the help. I guess I forgot to turn on the Search by Cache Name filter!
  8. I could see that impacting users again. If the Search by Cache Name is turned on and the Search does not start with GC then a message should appear starting the Search is limited to the cache code. Also it should really be Search by Cache Code, not Cache Name.
  9. Recently I encountered a website I just could not log into any longer. I tried over and over but would get URL errors. I checked and found that my password contained a slash (I use random characters for most passwords). I reset my password and generated one without the slash and the problems went away.
  10. Does the "My Finds" work via the API? I download PQs into GSAK all the time, but the My Finds query has never shown up in the GSAK API. I always have to download it directly from the website.
  11. Geoboater, I'd suggest you try this approach before manually recreating everything in GSAK. Export your GPX file from EasyGPS. Create a new Database in GSAK for this list. Import the GPX file into GSAK. (File...Load GPX...) Verify that data imported properly. In GSAK, use the Geocaching.com access menu to "Refresh Cache Data" and refresh all caches in your current database. Export GPX of updated listed. Import GPX into Cachly. Repeat steps 5-7 as often as needed. The Geocaching.com access will only work for premium members due to API limitations, but you mentioned downloading PQs, so I know that you must be a premium member.
  12. Sounds like you are seeing some type of bug. I've never had that issue myself.

    Terracache GPX

I did test this by importing into GSAK and then exporting from there and it displays properly. In my case my Offline imports come through GSAK at least 75% of the time, just not in when I first tried this TC import. The GSAK solution works for me, but I realize there may be other TC users who don't use GSAK.

    Terracache GPX

I do use GSAK. I'll be glad to try that. Here's the GPX. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4h6s8ot9aijcejg/Cache - TC9NH.gpx?dl=0 I'll follow back up after I try the GSAK export.

    Terracache GPX

Nick. I fully understand that your focus is with the Groundspeak Geocaching platform. I occasionally look for Terracaches (TC) too (occasionally because quite frankly there aren't that many). With other apps I have used I was able to import a Terracache GPX file into the app for use in offline mode. I tried that for the first time today in Cachly and it displays the coordinates. Even the cache title is in incorrect. I checked the GPX file and have no idea where the title came from. Here's what it looks like in another app. The title is present as well as the description and recent logs although the log types didn't translate here either. Nevertheless the important information is present. Have you considered supporting TC GPX files? If not would you be willing to look at one. I realize that if this takes much work it would be way down the priority list.
  16. As a Geosphere refugee, who already lives Cachly, this will be a hugely welcome feature!
  17. Also the cache code is case sensitive, upper case.
  18. It worked for me too, even on an iPad.
  19. That's a cool feature. I gave it a vote but agree you have a long list of 2.1 ideas.
  20. Nice proof of concept, but even though clustering can be a pain I do agree that it's the better option to pursue.
  21. After seeing the concept, I stick with my vote. It looks good.
  22. I don't mind clustering for large scale maps, but for smaller zoom levels like Team DEMP showed I would not want to see clustering unless hundreds of caches were available (which probably makes them too close together anyway).
  23. Personally I like red and green dots better than yellow and blue dots. The non DNF red should perhaps be a different color.
  24. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with your comment. Just extending your logic. If Blue represents a DNF log then Yellow should represent a Found log.
