Importing from Dropbox - size limitation
Nic Hubbard replied to Sailaboat's topic in General Questions
iPhone6,1 is correct. That is how Apple internally labels the iPhone 5s. It doesn't mean it thinks you have an iPhone 6. Images are imported new each time you import a GPX file. There is no mechanism to check for duplicates since you are creating a new offline list each time you import. Yes, please send the GPX to support. Thanks. -
Importing from Dropbox - size limitation

Can you send me the GPX file? -
The full list of new features can be found on our blog: https://medium.com/@cachly/cachly-2-0-is-preparing-for-submission-to-apple-8d221ee28f99#.jcv6gnshl Please let me know if you have any questions about them.

Thanks for the suggestion. You are right, we shouldn't be using any online data in offline mode. I will get this fixed and will consider a bug.
-
Yes, working to fix this for our 2.0.1 release. Thanks!
-
This has been fixed in our internal 2.0.1 version.

Hi Michael, thanks for using Cachly! This looks to be a bug. We will get this fixed ASAP and released in 2.0.1. Really appreciate you reporting it!
-
Glad you are liking that feature! That particular feature took the most time of any feature in the 2.0 update.

Thanks Team DEMP for answering this one!

Default view of cache description
Nic Hubbard replied to barefootguru's question in Feature Requests
Great idea! I will get this added in 2.0.1 which will be out soon. -
Images don't currently download for PQ's. However this will be added in 2.0.1 which we are hoping to submit the Apple this week. The option will be on by default, but can be turned off in Settings for those users that do not have much space. We are also adding two new Offline List options to delete cache images from a list, and to re-download images for a list.

Glad you are liking it!

Thanks! That is the goal. User feedback and dialog is key to making the best Geocaching app available.

Not at this time. We are a very small development team, so we are focusing on iOS at the moment. If that changes we will be sure to announce it.
-
Wonderful! Can you send me an email through the support option in Cachly? Then we can talk more details. Thanks!
-
Thanks. I will look into this report right away and get it fixed.

Thanks for reporting this. We had another user with this issue in the beta stage but we couldn't replicate it. Does this happen always? Or are there things that cause it such as not being on wifi or having no data connection?
-
Cachly does support other languages. We currently support French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese and Swedish. These are changed in Cachly based on your system language. Would you be interested translating for Japanese?
-
This isn't currently possible. However, disabled caches should have an X inside of them. Are you seeing this?
-
Thank you! It was a lot of hard work, but so happy that we can share it with everyone!
-
Thanks for reporting this. 2.0 will be released tomorrow morning (8am Pacific Time) and adds tons of new features and fixes hundreds of issues. It is likely this has already been fixed, but after you upgrade to 2.0 please let me know if you are still experiencing this. (Make sure to download the PQ since in 2.0 they download in a different way with MUCH more cache data.)

Yes, Geosphere has access to accessing your location even when you have left the app, so it could be using GPS and battery while you are not actively in the app. Cachly doesn't do this, and only uses GPS while the app is active.
-
One thing you can do to give you a hint as to which apps are using GPS is to go to your iOS Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services. You will see the location icon next to apps that have recently used your location. Cachly 2.0 will be out on December 5th, so make sure to update!

I didn't meant close the app, just leave the app by hitting the home button. Closing it completely would be a huge pain for users.

Thank you! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
