RubyShoos got a reaction from Hodějovice in Check sum for Multis
    Hi Nick
I'm very excited about the prospect of Cachly 8.0 and what it might bring! It sounds like features are set for this update, but even so, I thought I would throw a pretty minor and unimportant feature request out there.
A lot of UK multis have a check sum to check the coordinates, so if the newly calculated coordinates were N51 12.918 W000 01.553, the check sum would be 41 (5+1+1+2+9+1+8+1+5+5+3=41)
It's a quick and easy calculation, but I don't know how easy it would be to include this feature built in. I've had a think about where it might fit... I always do all my multi workings in the Personal Note, then just click on the resulting coordinates to Set as Corrected Coordinates. Would it be possible to display the Check Sum at or near the top of the list when you click on coordinates stored in this section (above Create Waypoint), either next to, or underneath, the new coordinates. I have included a screenshot of a Personal Note to hopefully explain this better!
Anyway, as I say, it's not a biggie, but just thought it would be a nice touch if it's easy enough to code.
    Thanks, RubyShoos

RubyShoos got a reaction from agrajag in Option to have 'Hint' shown in *Proximity Alert* notification
    Hi
I'm not sure if this is technically possible, but I wondered if it would be possible to have an option to show the hint in the proximity alert banner notification.
I have recently discovered the joys of proximity alerts, which I have never liked due to the sound. But with the sound off, I can turn off the screen (thus saving battery) and be alerted by a little vibration as I near GZ.
Trouble is, when I get a notification, my work flow goes something like this: unlock phone > go out of navigate mode into the cache page > open hint > read hint > come out of hint > go to navigation mode > find the cache.
Sometimes I add a stage after finding a cache which goes a little like this: select next cache > check hint > navigate to next cache > forget hint, then go through the above steps.
If I could select to show the hint in the proximity alert notification banner, I could have a totally smooth ride to the cache, which went something like this: read hint in notification > unlock phone > go straight to the cache
As I say, I'm not sure if it is possible to pull this information into the notification, but if it  was, it would be great!
Thank you every day for the fantastic features Cachly offers.

Thank you for your support, much appreciated! I’ll manage today’s finds differently :-)

Thank you for being so responsive. It’s much appreciated. I checked all the caches were present and correct in the new list before deleting them. Weirdly, it also deleted the Trad caches from the list.
Oh well, if I can’t remember the bonus info I’ll just have to revisit :-)
Thanks  for all the new features in the latest update. Just when you think Cachly can’t (and doesn’t need to) get any better, it does.
Love the ‘mark as found’ on AdLab stages (even though it was my downfall this evening).

    Thanks again for trying. RS

RubyShoos got a reaction from Nic Hubbard in Recovering draft logs that have been submitted
Thank you! Got the one I was after (and another find that doesn't appear in Drafts that I'd forgotten about). Definitely not submitted as regular logs (I have Drafts set as default and there are no 'Found It' logs from me on the caches in question). But the one I wanted appeared in the .txt file with the following at the start:
    GC7GB04,2018-11-09T14:09Z,Found it, "..."
Which implies it was sent through. The only explanation which makes any sense is that I have inadvertently deleted it from my Drafts list, which although implausible, is possible (there's only 537 in the queue at the moment so I might not notice if one or two went astray).
Anyway, the notes I wanted were in the .txt file, so thank you for the help.

RubyShoos got a reaction from rragan in Different colour highlights
When planning a big trip, I would like to be able to highlight using different colours, for example, blue for oldies, pink for D/T combos, yellow for high favourite points, red for qualified challenges, etc.
I'd be happy for them all to show up in the same filter {Highlighted: Yes} as the colour would quickly enable me to establish why I had highlighted them.
In geosphere I used to create different groups for different priority caches (as per the highlight examples above) and then combine them (or not) when I was in the field. Different colour highlights would enable me to create one group with all the caches within it and be able to pick out my priorities along the way, without missing any opportunistic non-priority finds along the way.
It would really help me with planning big trips with lots of competing caches!
