Another question about the  "Find Caches Near This" feature. I now use this frequently, and it does take me to a view of the caches near the one selected. It shows, however, all of the caches that I have already found, and I don't see any way to filter those out so I can see only the unfound caches. Consequently, I still find myself copying the GC code, switching to the "real" live view (from the tab at the navigation bar at the bottom), searching for that code and then filtering as necessary. Are there filter options in the  "Find Caches Near This" mode that I'm missing?

    Thanks!

No, there currently isn't an option for that. The Find Caches Near This just finds all caches. Will consider adding this in the future.

It is doing it with some online maps too e.g. Open Street Map. It seems to be continually redrawing the tiles.

Thanks, I can replicate this. It seems this is a new iOS 13 specific bug. Testing some of our other devices, pre-iOS 13 do not have the issue. I will get this bug logged.

    Good point, email sent

Thank you. I just watched it.

This happens because the Standard Offline Maps are old technology and is quite slow at drawing the map tiles.

Have you tried our new Premium Offline maps? This is our next generation offline maps that are extremely fast, detailed, beautiful and updated very frequently. Please give them a try as I think you will be quite pleased!

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I am maybe not sure after all, if I use “history” to open a cache page is that still live or not? So I just tried that and see the live tab grays out, so I would say there is a good possibility I am not live after all.

If you access history, it will first check your offline lists to see if it contains an offline cache. It that is not found then it will load a live cache.

The thread is a little old, but do not see where it was resolved. I have had this same problem basically since I started using Cachly a year ago. After I put in a waypoint, (which does show as the current coords, not zeros, when I start.) carefully make sure I save it before leaving the page. I can open it and navigate to the site. Close it and reopen it and everything is okay. But at some point it disappears. I have tested by creating a waypoint, saving it, copying it and pasting into the "Personal Note" section. At some point when I go back the waypoint is gone, but the personal note remains. Maybe when syncing with Geocaching.com it is overwritten? (Because I see the note on Geocaching.com now, but not the waypoint.) Currently on 5.2.13 (2). I just noticed this again. I solved a mystery cache, put the coords in, went and found the cache, logged the find, went home, now the waypoint is gone. If there is other information I can provide please let me know!

ADDED: Not an issue, but often I end up with TWO identical waypoints, and do not delete either of them, but editing one sometimes I end up with THREE, some with original coordinates, then one new one with new/edited coords as if I "Copied" the original and then edited it, but I am not doing that, at least intentionally.

Is this on the live tab or offline?

Don’t know if you know this thread:

    https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/118932

    But it looks very interesting.

There isn't currently a solution to this. I have been working directly with an Apple engineer on the issue, and as mentioned in the above when multiple apps are registering for GPX files is when the bug occurs. He said there is no fix.

The one fix I do see in the thread is to allow Cachly to open ANY file type, which I am hesitant to do.
