In our public App Store version, 4.0.1 there is no option to lock screen rotation (you can use the iOS screen lock in control center though). There is an option to lock map rotation, but this is different and involves twisting your fingers to lock the map from rotating.
A dedicated screen rotation lock will be in our 4.1 release.

This feature was added for users who are interested in hiding caches, and saving locations for general reference. Those users that use Cachly to hide caches find it very helpful.
