Hi, I downloaded the app yesterday and was testing it out. So far so good! I was reading through some of the reported issues (in particular the *|find_count|*  being off by 1) that will be fixed in v2.0. Is there any estimate for this release?

I can't say for sure when it will be released, as that has not been finalized. We are just working to make sure it is our best release yet. :)

  2. Moving around the map and refreshing is quite simple (in a future version we will have a live map).  You can also tap the gear icon in the search bar to bring up search options to greatly refine your search. You can also search for locations by address, GC code, coords, etc.

Lists are a way to group/save caches. In our upcoming 2.0 version you will be able to refresh an entire list.

    Hope this helps.

  3. After you load the first 50 caches, do you see three dots inside of the refresh arrow? It should be allowing you to load more and more caches in your area. Can you try moving the map elsewhere and refreshing?

and 1 of my multiple lists.

What do you mean? Is this a list that you created in Cachly or geocaching.com?

I do read some posts on the forum about the (upcoming) version 2. Is there any more information about this version? Will it be a free update? Is there a roadmap with new functions? Is it possible to beta test it?

Maybe I can be of assistance I translating the app into Dutch?

Yes, version 2.0 is upcoming and it packed with new features including offline open street vector maps. We will be doing a blog post soon that outlines all of the upcoming 2.0 features.

If you are interested in beta testing or helping with translation, just contact us through the support option in Cachly.

The update will be free. :)

Follow up feedback/question on the PQ interface: I mentally stumble each time I got into my PQ list. I know by now that the only action is tap and it downloads the PQ, but it keeps "surprising" me. It does not help that tapping second time created downloads another copy (although it makes sense - you cannot be sure it's the same PQ). It also does not help that now the process of download is by necessity longer. Unfortunately, I do not have a suggestion on how to make it better...

I agree. I am going to be rebuilding the PQ section to integrate it into Lists.

I also do not understand yet the connection between lists and PQs. I did not have any lists yesterday. Today, I have one. It corresponds to a offline PQ I left on the device overnight. Do offline PQs become lists after a while? On an action I did not notice I take? Is it correct that cachly list, geocaching.com list (first item in Your Profile / Quick View) and list in Map/List choice have nothing to do with each other?

There shouldn't be a connection. In the next beta PQs will download directly into Lists, and you will be able to save the PQs into an already created list.

Also to this it would be great if it was possible to send a fieldnotes.txt to Dropbox, iCloud-drive or e-mail for importing to iCaching or GSAK.

This is on our feature list as well, but likely won't make it into 2.0 as it isn't one of the high priority features.

  7. I am very well aware of this issue, and it is something that I have wanted to correct for some time.

It seems like it should be a fairly straight forward thing to fix, you would just need to get the users current time zone and then add the difference in hours to PST. However, I am not convinced it is that easy. After 2.0 is release we will make sure to look into this issue deeper and if you are willing we would love for you to test it.

Since I'm using my iPad in my car as a navigator it would be great to see Cachly as an universal app for iPhone/iPad and also support for side by side so I could run Cachly side by side with example Waze.

We have looked into iPad support, but currently our focus is on iPhone as that is what the majority of our users use. But, we still have it on our feature list. :)

Will this include opening the links emailed from cache notifications directly on my iPhone? The only option currently is direct into a browser to the cache page and it sucks!

Sorry Bernie, for some reason I was never alerted about this reply.

No, this wouldn't be possible because Groundspeak owns the the coord.info domain, and without being the owner we cannot open those links in Cachly. :(

Do you have an update about the safari extension fot cachly?

We have not started work on this feature yet as our we are working on many other features in 2.0. Hopefully we could add it soon.

I had an issue weeks ago that was taken care of with reinstalling.  Something weird had happened in updating.

I thought I had another this weekend as it was taking what seemed like forever to load up and run.  But once going it ran fine.  When I got home I found the issue to be an offline PQ.  So I just need to remember that when using an offline PQ (or whatever it's called), that on my phone it takes a little longer to load up.

Supposed to be upgrading phones sometime in the near future, so maybe that issue will go away for me.

When you had issues, it was during startup? I want to make sure to try to get to the bottom of this, even if it isn't happening anymore.
