Merging Databases

Recommended Posts

We're heading down south soon and I'm trying to get as many logs for the caches in that country as possible. A PQ will only net you 5 logs, which is fine. I've been running this PQ daily for a couple of weeks. If I download the PQ in Geosphere, it will append the existing database and build up the number of logs. This isn't possible in Cachly as each PQ download creates a new database. I know that databases can be merged in Cachly, so I tried merging a new download with a previous download. The problem was, the merge truncates the number of logs to the newest 5 logs only. This seems counterintuitive for offline caching where you may not have data. The only way I can see around this is to build up the database in GSAK and import it to Cachly.
