I am used to start all my fount it logs with my find number and the time of day, e.g. #8072@17:26. In my log template I have therefore added  two keywords: #*|find_count|*@*|time_short|*. Strangely enough *|find_count|* for my first draft of the day displays my current number of finds, not the number of finds this particular log will become. The next drafts increases the number of finds with one. Because of this, I have to correct the find number in all my logs manually before they are posted to geocaching.com. Is this a bug in Cachly, or am I doing something wrong?

    Exact same.

    Standing by.

  2. It would be nice, while in map view, when you click on a cache and you get the rectangle view with the abbreviated information, if the smiles (found/dnf) was displayed above the GC.  It would prevent having to actually click on the cache to see what the recent activity has been.

  3. Cachly version number: 2.0.3(4)

So, I got a notification on my iphone that I was low on storage space-->so I went to check it out: settings, general, storage & icloud usage, manage storage--> and cachly said that it was 5.5 gigs.

Weird I thought, so I went to delete offline list that I didn't need anymore (from other countries).  No change in size.  Went to off line maps, deleted Japan (the only one I had) and still no change.

Rebooted phone, no change.  deleted cachly, downloaded it again, 22mb.

Redownloaded Japan maps (supposed to be under 600mp), after it was finished, cachly said that it was almost 950.

Did all of this to my iPad, and my wife's iPhone 5S...same story.

  4. Adding total find, DNF OM, NM, counts might be useful somewhere.

I've only really ever wanted to find this information on several outings, and ended up viewing on geocaching.com to accomplish what I wanted.

It might be nice though to have it in the "Additional Information" section of the cache.

If you were to want it displayed on the main cache page, it might be less clutter if added to the banner after click on "Logs"  kind of up at the top.  So it would look like [ Smile # DNF # "Logs" OM # NM#]

    Just a thought.

Converted a couple more geocachers into believers today at an event.  It's not even hard to get people using your app.

    Love what you guys do.

    Cache on.

  5. I was planting some caches this weekend in a location that had none.

I knew that I wanted to plant several, and was trying to scope out locations.  What was challenging is that I had to guesstimate that they were at least .1 miles away from each other.

It would be nice to be able to drop a pin that had the .1 mile radius marker on it.

Just a convenience thing when trying to populate an area.

    Either way, thanks in advance!

  6. This weekend I was doing some maintenance on several of my multi's.

On one of the multi's, some of the stages had gone missing-->so I was going to cut them out.

I noticed that when looking at my own multi on Cachly, the additional stages & final don't show up.

I know that when looking at geocaching online, I can click a link to show all of the additional stages and final.

Not a huge deal either way, but do you think that this is something that could be incorporated?

    Thanks in advance!

  7. I used to be able to drop a pin and then set as target.  This was a helpful feature because if I wanted to get to a general area where there was a geocache cluster, I could just drop a pin and set as target and then go ... and use googlemaps to get me there.

Now when I drop a pin, I only get "save location, copy coordinate, and remove."

  8. Ah, got it.

So if I understand you correctly:

When planning to do offline caching, it would be wise to only add a few a cache at a time in order to get more pictures per cache.

As in, when I planned my trip to another country, I created an offline list of 550 caches, and added photos and radius maps-->So I probably only got a few photos per cache.

Or are those two things not related?

  9. I've noticed this before, but especially noticed it this last weekend when we were aboard and didn't have any data connection.  We were using hotel wifi to download caches to the offline lists and just using GPS when we went out.  It worked.

However, when we got home, and I was logging online, I noticed that even though I had selected "download photos" it Cachly didn't download all of the photos for each cache.  In fact, there were a couple that we might not have DNF'd if we would have had the other photos (caches that were off their GPS).

Was wondering how Cachly decides which photos to download, and if we save a cache to the offline list several times will we continue to add photos?

Love Cachly and everything you guys do.  Keep up the great work!

  10. So, I'm trying to set up my default logs.

i would like to display the user find number that that find is equal to.

When I use *|find_count|* it shows my current find count, which is one less than the find that I'm trying to log.

I've messed with a +1 in the syntax but can't figure it out.

    Thanks in advance
