  1. How long would you expect the export process on a 10,000 cache offline list to take. I'm at 15 minutes so far. Can't tell if it's hung or still processing.
  2. No, the cache data in Cachly. I am running the latest beta in ios10
  3. I bet that list is growing really appreciate the work you are doing with Cachly. Please don't take any of my requests or feedback as criticism ever. I am just sharing how a number of us use our app over and above just searching for a cache. loving what you are doing with Cachly
  4. Pocket queries from GC. Direct through Cachly. I am happy to scrap the database and start again. This was last updated 8th July.
  5. The point is I want to see them. I just neee to be able to identify them on the map. Rather than change the Color, how about a faded version of the icon. Or maybe another symbol instead of a cross?
  6. This probably forms part of another request, but it would be great to be able to tap a cache on list view, and view it on the map, rather than have to navigate to it. This would then show(depending if you are in live or offline) the caches around the cache you are viewing. Would be great for planning.
  7. Still happening Nic. I do a full data refresh of the filtered list, nothing. But an individual update does the job. Here is a cache before and after the individual update One thing I noticed as well is that the CO details weren't there before the update (not just the logs)
  8. Could we get the icon Color for archived caches changed to a different Color (say black)? currently, we see the same green icon with a cross for disabled and archived caches. I know this is only an issue in offline lists(as live view doesn't return archived) but as someone who hunts out archived caches, this would avoid a lot of confusion.
  9. I could, then would have to rename the list each time as I am merging a pocket query into a database on Cachly. Messy but doable.
  10. Basically, yep. I have done a "Update Caches" in the filtered view These caches have been out for some time, so definitely had logs when I imported the PQ. When I view the cache currently, there are no logs showing. When I view the MORE INFO tab, it shows as hidden 6 Nov 2007, and last found 17 Nov 2016. All other data is there. But when I view the logs data, it says No Logs were found. If was to do a refresh within the listing, the logs come in.
  11. Thanks Nic, Also in this view, I noticed some outdated logs so have done a Refresh caches on the 111 in the filtered list. However, the recent logs dont appear to come in for all the caches. I have a number of caches in the list with no logs. So I then need to go in and do an individual cache refresh. Not sure if that may be tied into the same bug?
  12. I am playing with some of the filtering and sorting features and came across this. I have my offline list, filtered by a text string to return 111 caches (all have WANAUS in the description). When I change the sort option, it doesnt change the view. I have to research the WANAUS to return the re-sorted list. I would have thought it would make sense to resort when you change the sort option? What do others think?
  13. On this topic, one feature I find handy in Geosphere (but havent really looked at in cachly) is the ability to easily view previous field notes. Often, when someone calls for assistance in finding a cache I have previously found, I will go back into Geosphere offline list, find the cache, and review my field notes on the hide.
  14. Hi Nic, 1. I live in a state with 12,000 caches and many areas of zero reception. As I travel a fair bit, I often have the opportunity to cache on a whim in a "random" location. I also travel interstate and face the same issues. So while I have an active list of 11,000, I also have another 10-15,000 on my phone which is updated just prior to travel. All done via PQs. 2. The lists are generated out of PQs so if I was to lose my device, it wouldnt be hard to replicate. I also back up the custom lists I make to the cloud regularly as well. 3. For me, the status of the cache and the recent logs. I dont download images. 4. In geosphere, I was doing a full data refresh. I think something to take into account is that i (and many others) use our geocaching app more than to just find a cache. We could do that (poorly) with the official app. We use cachly (and in the past geosphere), as a caching tool. Whether its helping people with a PAF, comparing caches for future trips, placing caches, searching for a specific cache, the uses are wide and varied. In these days of mobility, many people dont have time, or arent inclined, to sit in front of a computer, be it GSAK, or Project-GC. I am not saying that my caching app needs to do everything that those programs do, but most of what we do can be done through the use of lists and filters.
  15. Just as a thought, could it look the cache name up in your saved offline lists and return it if it existed ? Not sure how it all works but I dare say the power users would be utilizing offline lists and the data may be there.
  16. Hmmm, not really practical Nic. The idea of having a single database is to keep everything together, Any ideas for keeping it up to date? I hate refering back to GeoSphere but it was something that is available there. Do they handle it in a different way? I can do a refresh on the same database there in a few minutes. When I tested again this morning, it paused at 1400 caches. I was going to just download PQs each time and re-merge them but this doesnt then update any caches that have been archived.
  17. Can you turn off the screen time out feature during the refresh cache data ? My database of 11000 caches is taking forever to refresh, even on basic data, and I'm not sure if it runs once the screen locks. Also another good spot for a status bar.
  18. The date doesn't update when you download a PQ and merge it in. I believe it should change ANYTIME you update a list. I am currently updating my list but it is taking forever. Will check it out once done.
  19. The Target concept is something I would really like to see. We often set a cache as a target then go back to map view as we head that way. Coupled with ability to turn on visibility of waypoints, and multiple lists, it would make caching trips so much better. Yesterday, we covered 700km across Outback Western Australia and it was the one feature I missed.
  20. While on this topic, can you add this to the "add coords" feature while logging. Whilst caching yesterday, we were trying to add "better" coords to a log for a cache but found the built in feature only allowed for entering of coords we obtained from a second device or app.
  21. Sorry, I probably didn't explain myself. I want to stay within the offline maps but go to this area on the map. Doing the above takes me a to map with just my current location and the saved location but no caches shown.
  22. Not sure if I am missing something, but is there a way to go to a saved location while in offline lists ?
  23. Just a tweak rather than a feature. Could we see the last updated date under each offline list, rather than the created date. Im not sure about others, but I use that date to know when I last updated my database, and if I have forgotten to import my latest PQs.
  24. I actually like seeing counters. Confirms that things are happening
  25. This is a great feature especially when hunting an area with multiple multi caches.
