When this behaviour is only by one map, that is annoying. I would understand if it was any ordinary map. But ONLY at the premium for which I paid? This is bad UX. It is very annoying. I assumed you could fix it when it was the fault of only one map. :(

No, this isn't a bug, and is the way our Premium Offline Maps are intended to work. Of course we appreciate everyone's opinion. :)

When done like this, the file appears on the phone's Files app, but it has a little cloud icon on the upper right corner indicating it's not stored locally on the phone. Trying to copy a file to Cachly from this state gets me the infinite Processing wheel every time. If in I tap Download first in Files and then copy it to Cachly, that works like a charm.

Yes, this appears to be the root of the problem. I will see if there is anything I can do on my end.

Have you considered making it an option to use GPS course for the pointer?

No, as the pointer is specifically a heading indicator, which GPS course cannot do. Think about if you are standing close to a geocache, rotating your body looking for the cache, the compass will provide correction direction for the pointer in relation the tip of your phone, so when looking at the map you know exactly which way you are facing. GPS course cannot do this unless the user walks for a distance.

It's the only map (premium map) where it behaves like this. But the premium map should be perfect, right? Could you fix it?

I am seeing Google Maps and Apple Maps doing the same thing.

Can you explain what issues this causes with your usage and as a geocacher? I do not see this as a bug at all.

I have issue only with premium maps. Standard map set does not have this issue.

This is the deceleration of the multi-touch gesture. This is normal for maps and Google and Apple maps both do this when you do a hard pinch or push.

Can you let me know what sort if problems this is causing?

I would welcome the opportunity to have OSM as offline maps.

Premium Offline Maps are sourced from OSM data, but are data and styles are picked carefully for our specific Premium Maps. They are not meant to copy OSM styles, as this was not the goal. The goal was to make the best offline map experience for my users. :)

  7. In your video, can you explain the issue and how this is affecting you? I am not seeing the issue.

In your screenshot, it looks like you have a lot of map details turned off. Long press the map layers button and choose the options you want to see:

As for colors, this is just personal preference. I have spent years now perfecting how the Premium Offline maps are displayed, so I am very proud of them. :)

And PREMIUM maps is worst for using, because during zooming the map changes its size slightly by default :(.

Can you show me an example of what you mean?

Looking at your screenshots, I think everything looks pretty good in our Premium maps. Can you point out some things that you feel are missing from the Cachly maps? Also, please remember that as with many other iOS map types, map objects will appear as you zoom in. Meaning you will see a more detailed map as you zoom in.

Please add maps layers from L4C apps to Cachly. There are OSM maps.

Cachly also uses OSM for our map source, but I wouldn't ever copy or use another apps maps.

So, if you use the compass to create the pointer this difference is why I have been confused by your program's behavior.

This is not something that I would use the GPS "course" data for. That is only for when you are moving that it will show the correct direction of movement. The heading indicator is not this.

It requires the compass because you can stand stationary in one location and rotate and the course indicator will change using the compass to point you in the direction of the cache based on the top of your device. This is not something that GPS course direction can do, as it doesn't update when a user rotates a compass.

I think we should just move on from this topic, unless you have another specific question, as I feel this is getting a bit heated.  Thanks.
