No data received on GPX download

Recommended Posts

I followed the online instructions for importing a GPX file from an email, but afterwards the data does not show up in the offline list it was directed to.  Any suggestions what I might do to remedy this?

phone is an iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 17.5.1
running Cachly 8.0.3 (2)

This is the procedure I used today:
1) cachly / importGPX / other
2) Files (iPhone) / select file
3) Import GPX (Cachly) / choose offline list / "test" / import
4)  "test" showed 0 caches, but I opened I selected it anyway and  nothing was there; the map was empty

I also tried this:
1) opened email with attachment and selected the attached file
2) chose "test" when prompted to "Choose Offline List" in Cachly on "Import GPX"
3) selected "import"
4) result was a blank map.  Going back to the offline "test" list, it showed zero caches.

File being sent to support@cach.ly as requested.

So...

When I make a GPX file on Geocaching.com by selecting specific desirable geocaches out of a pocket query/route and then pressing the  "Download Waypoints" button it doesn't include all the data Cachly requires, or does it get stripped-out when I next open it in EasyGPS?

GPX files from geocaching.com and many other sources work correctly. But Cachly just needs that GC Code.

Do you mean downloading the Pocket Query GPX? That does work correctly, but you can natively see PQs in Cachly that you have generated.

Also, the route files from the Pocket Queries section only contain route data not geocache data.

I am not familiar with EasyGPS.

I ran the pocket query, then reviewed the results and determined a subset of those geocaches, then selected "Download Waypoints" and the resultant file was a .loc.  It only became a .GPX after I opened it in EasyGPS.  Is there a way to make the geocaching.com file default to .GPX?

If you run a pocket query, those should then be available in the More > Pocket Queries section of Cachly. No need for a GPX.

To answer your question, when you create a Pocket Query, there is a "Format" option and you need to choose GPX rather than .loc.
