nwc_voyageur
I would like to block the downloading of cache images for some large pocket queries. Is there a way to do this? Appreciate any help I can get, nwc_voyageur
Nic Hubbard
Downloading Pocket Queries does not automatically download images. Are you seeing this happening somewhere?
nwc_voyageur
Yes. Whenever I download a pocket query, after the gpx files have completed downloading as indicated by the icon to the right of the pq name, downloads are still continuing. When I click on downloads, it will say something like "m of nn images downloaded'. It could well be I have changed some setting inadvertently. It became an issue when i downloaded about three route pqs for a trip and it downloaded over 19,000 images! Thanks for looking into this. Much appreciated. nwc_voyageure AKA Bill Erickson
Nic Hubbard
Are you importing a GPX into Cachly or using the Pocket Queries feature in Cachly? Using the Pocket Query feature in Cachly should not download images. Importing a GPX with the option turned on will.
nwc_voyageur
I recreated the problem just now I have an unexpired PQ on geocaching.com. In Cachly I did the following 1.within Cachly I went to the More Page 2. Selected Pocket Queries 3. Selected the GC PQ and saved it to a new fill 4. The screen said I had 124 downloads 5. When there were no more downloads and it returned me to the Pocket Queries page that now had a check mark by the Pq name, I clicked the more buttom at the bottom 6. On the more screen, it had a red down arrow buy the Downloads 7 When I clicked the downloads, it said that 648 of 2260 images had been downloaded. Within a short time, the remainder of the images had been downloaded. If you would like, I will try to repeat the process and take a series of screen shots. Thanks again for you help, nwc_voyageur / Bill
Nic Hubbard
Sorry that this dropped off my radar. I just tested again and I cannot replicate. Can you provide some screenshots?
