Option to have 'Hint' shown in *Proximity Alert* notification

Hi

I'm not sure if this is technically possible, but I wondered if it would be possible to have an option to show the hint in the proximity alert banner notification.

I have recently discovered the joys of proximity alerts, which I have never liked due to the sound. But with the sound off, I can turn off the screen (thus saving battery) and be alerted by a little vibration as I near GZ.

Trouble is, when I get a notification, my work flow goes something like this: unlock phone > go out of navigate mode into the cache page > open hint > read hint > come out of hint > go to navigation mode > find the cache.

Sometimes I add a stage after finding a cache which goes a little like this: select next cache > check hint > navigate to next cache > forget hint, then go through the above steps.

If I could select to show the hint in the proximity alert notification banner, I could have a totally smooth ride to the cache, which went something like this: read hint in notification > unlock phone > go straight to the cache

As I say, I'm not sure if it is possible to pull this information into the notification, but if it  was, it would be great!

Will have to look into this idea. I think the text of a notification is limited in length.

Just bumping this as it is still seriously on my wishlist . v8 has brought the GC code and cache name - I'd happily forgo that info for the hint!

This was actually very easy to add, so it will be included in the next small update.

I was cannot tell you how happy this makes me, nor how excited I am! I was on a long trail yesterday and the vast majority of hints were furu/pine, but it would’ve been very helpful to have on ones that weren’t (usually gran/spruce)

I cannot express how happy today’s update has made me!! It is utterly brilliant and worth this year’s subscription for the ‘hint in notification’ feature alone.

Just to add, I used this feature on a big series and it is a complete game changer. I turned it on for a Cachly-using friend while were out in the field, and we were both blown away.
