  1. No, but to log into this support forum I needed a password and that password was my old geocaching password as that is what I used here when I signed up. That one didn't update. It's all good as I seem to have a handle on the issues right now. Thanks again.

  2. :)) Thanks

Within this I did learn that when I changed my Geocaching password that change did not update on Cachly. It doesn't really matter it just seemed a little strange at the time. Yet another entry in the "Old dog ... New trick" file.

  3. Well, since "This process hasn't been changed at all in 4.x or in 5.0" I went looking for the next obvious solution ... user error. It took several times though ... one might wonder how I ever find a cache ... before I found the problem. Somehow, I'd mailed myself an x.txt file instead of an x.gpx file ... problem solved. Thanks for your vote of confidence but it would never occur to me that the problem would be in the iOS.

Thanks for your prompt reply. No doubt, I'll update to 5.0 but you have to admit a nearby support thread labelled "Cachly 5 crashes constantly" is just a little offputting when I was having difficulties of my own.

  4. Using Version 4.3.7 ... the forums indicate that updating might be a serious mistake as I read of crashing problems.

Yesterday, Cachly worked as usual ... i.e. smoothly. Today ... not so much. To upload caches to Cachly my usual process was to email a GPX file from GSAK to myself, open the email attachment, and, when I clicked to upload,  Cachly was listed as a an available choice to upload to an offline list. Today, that choice has vanished. Thus, no uploading can occur.

Can you give me a workaround while we wait for the crash issues to settle down or are we now, as of March 1, being forced to update to 5.0 to load caches?

  5. 1] Is to possible to have more than one, i.e., several, Offline List active at the same time? Sometimes, when I'm caching I will be looking for caches in, e.g. "DT-Davis" but caching very near it's border with "DT-Sacramento." It would be useful to be able to have them both active as had been the case in the days of Geosphere.

2] After updating my Offline List information on GSAK I want to be able to upload the caches to the appropriate Offline List. Is there a way to empty the appropriate list or must I delete the list and it's title and add a new list with the old title before uploading? I'm sure you, Nick, are tired of hearing this but this was possible in Geosphere. I do appreciate that Cachly was already available when Geosphere bit the dust and am slowly getting up to speed. It's that old dog ... new trick problem rearing it's ugly head once again.

  6. after I tap to download the gpx file in my email the "Copy to Cachly" appears ... I tap that and Cachly opens ... then nothing happens ... where did it go and what do I do now?

Still using iOS 10 as moving to iOS 11 will break Geosphere and I can't have that until I can get Cachly to work ...
