Are you able to share the PQ or how you created it?

Unless someone can break the code, I'm deciding I'm unable to cache using a phone, at least with Cachley. I've been caching for 16 years and I don't understand how anyone uses a cell phone to cache.
This is very strange. I cannot replicate this issue, and we have never had any other users report this, it always works.
What phone are you using? Do other apps have issues with location services?
-
Manual sync is the option you want. It shouldn't add highlights to other caches, so not sure what happened when you were doing that.
-
It sounds like they must have changed the way other apps can connect to it.

Do you have any update for your release of 6.2?
No, unfortunately I can't say a date yet.
-
Yes, that is the only supported import type. There aren't any plans to support other types at the moment.
Our recommendation is to use a zipped GPX for importing into Cachly to save on data size.

I loaded 'Australia', and the entire country shows errors with the latest release on the server being from 01/12/2020. Though, specifically I am interested in the 'Queensland' state.
Our Premium Offline maps of Australia have been regenerated and should be working correctly now. Please let me know if you see any additional issues.

That is great news. Thanks for confirming!

Cachly 6.1.6 has been released and should show up soon on the App Store. Let me know if this update fixes the issue that you posted about in this thread. Thanks.

So it would be also possible to just load that tinier state map. However, I just noticed that all Australian state maps are there apart from Queensland! Very odd.
There were issues with generating the Australia maps recently and I restarted the generation process yesterday. Those maps should be done in a few days and I will post back where when it is complete. Sorry about the inconvenience.

I have just reinstalled the app, but that didn't help either.
This is never a good idea as you will loose all data.
I do have a fix for the initial bug. I will be submitting it to Apple today for approval.

What specific map are you loading?

I have created a new PQ with 4 caches located in a 500km radius and which consists of in total about 40 images.
Downloaded it via mobile data, but still the same, some caches have all images grayed out, some are able to present about 10 to 15% of images.
Can you provide a few of the GC codes that aren't loading images? I want to create a PQ that includes those.

What does the green box around some images indicate?
That is a cache owner image.

Perhaps. Can you test it on just phone data?

Hmm, I cannot replicate this on a PQ with 100 Earthcaches and 2200 images. Does this happen just for that PQ or all PQs that you have?
Also, are all 350 caches missing image downloads?
The one thing I could maybe guess is that the Geocaching image server timed out for some of the download requests.
-
Just curious. How many caches are in the PQ? And, how many images was it downloading?

Is it possible to have the topo map from geocaching.com as an opportunity for the maps in cachly??
No, that is a custom map that geocaching.com has created. It is also sourced from openstreetmaps like our Premium Offline maps are.
Have you used our Premium Offline maps? They have beautiful hillshades and contours as well as very detailed data.

This is something that I would love to provide as a paid option in the future, as licensing satellite imagery is quite expensive.

I just realized - c:geo on Android uses this feature too even though it's not an official app. How could they implement it if it's not available for partner apps?
c:geo hacks the geocaching.com and uses screen scraping. They basically illegally use the methods from the website and make them work in their app. Which, HQ does not allow.

I know about that. But it would still be nice to be able to have as much functions as possible in one great working and great looking Cachly app, without the need of downloading other apps.
I worked on the new HQ Wherigo app, so hopefully it is a good compromise. Integrating a Wherigo player into Cachly isn't something that is planned.

There are many wherigos in my country (Czechia) and people are still creating new ones. With the official Wherigo app missing from the App Store right now I don't have any chance of playing these.
I think playing wherigos in Cachly would be much better experienceHQ announced that an updated player for iOS will be released fairly soon. So stayed tuned for that.

The official app has the benefit of using an API that we cannot. It can load 500 caches at a time for the area around the map. This isn't a complaint, but just a fact. Because we cannot do this (no API like this for partner apps) and because of the API limits that users have on how many caches they can load per day and for each request, it would be a poor user experience. So it isn't something that we have planned right now.
-
Yes, you can enter this as a keyword by long pressing in the log field or tapping the ... button and choosing to insert keyword.

A nice added feature would be to see at a glance the number of 'will attends' on an event. Would be much easier to know how many people were planning on attending.
This is a request that I have put in for HQ to add to the API, so it won't be possible to add to Cachly if/when this happens.
15 hours ago, Twinklekitkat said:I would also love to be able to filter the logs by "Announcements". These always seem to get lost, especially on mega events and it would be handy to be able to see all of them in a filtered view just like 'my logs' and 'friends logs'.
Great idea! Will get this added hopefully in 6.2.

The red indicator you are seeing is meaning you created Corrected Coordinates for this cache, not FTF. You can you remove these on the cache details page.

You don't have to stay on the downloads screen, but downloading does pause when you leave Cachly.
Does this happen for all PQs? Or just this specific one? I tested my own PQ with 2322 images and they all downloaded.
