One of the things I encounter most with Cachly is how difficult it is for me to distinguish between virtuals and puzzles. I usually find myself pressing puzzles more often than not. I also have missed seeing earthcaches because their color can get lost for me. I realize I can filter for certain cache types and perhaps bulk highlighting could help — but I don’t think I can automatically highlight live caches or have options that would not require multiple searches. I used to use Geosphere and still miss the ability set colors for cache types. As I get older and have some lingering health issues it would really help to be able to set cache colors or change icons to make them more distinguishable.

When traveling I set up custom caches so that I can add special points of interest, such as arches, petroglyphs, and the like - with all the added information as a cache description. I mark it as a mega event so that I know there is no container. It’s handy to have everything in one place so I can plan activities, routes, and have the descriptions offline - and not miss anything between caching and other exploration. I tried to set up waypoints for parking and trail information but apparently waypoints can’t be created for custom caches. I am not sure why there is a limitation on this but could the app support multiple custom waypoints in the future ?
