Translation functionality broken?

Hi,

I have used the translation feature extensively with description and logs in the past, but it seems to be broken currently. The web browser window opens as before, but without any input text or translated result.

Kind regards,

Ketil

Hi Nic,

Thanks for your reply. From within a cache description, i press the upper right hand side three-dot menu, then "Translate with Google". This opens up a browser window within the app, but without any input our output text (see screenshot above).

It works correctly for me and we have never had other reports of it not working. Not sure why it wouldn’t work for you. :(

Could it have anything to do with localization? Translate displays in my local language (Norwegian) rather than English. It used to work in the past. Hopefully, it will start working again at some point. :)

It shouldn't. Can you give me the GC code you are having issues with?

Also, you said it used to work, which is strange. Nothing has changed with this feature in Cachly for almost 2 years.

Hi Nic,

I just tried switching the iOS language to English, and the translation functionality started working immediately. I tried to switch back and forth a few times, and the behavior is consitent: Does not work in Norwegian, does work in English. It would be interesting to see if you are able to reproduce this on your end.

Kind regards,

Ketil
