Ketil
Hi, I have used the translation feature extensively with description and logs in the past, but it seems to be broken currently. The web browser window opens as before, but without any input text or translated result. Kind regards, Ketil
Nic Hubbard
I cannot replicate this, and nothing has changed in Cachly regarding this. Can you tell me the steps you use to replicate this?
Ketil
Hi Nic, Thanks for your reply. From within a cache description, i press the upper right hand side three-dot menu, then "Translate with Google". This opens up a browser window within the app, but without any input our output text (see screenshot above). Ketil

Not sure why it wouldn’t work for you.
Ketil
Could it have anything to do with localization? Translate displays in my local language (Norwegian) rather than English. It used to work in the past. Hopefully, it will start working again at some point. Ketil

Can you give me the GC code you are having issues with? Also, you said it used to work, which is strange. Nothing has changed with this feature in Cachly for almost 2 years. Ketil
Hi Nic, I’m getting this issue with all the caches I’ve tried so far, for example GCZP4B. Kind regards, Ketil

Ketil
Hi Nic, I have made a screen recording here: https://we.tl/s-sYUNhTOmxR I’m using Cachly 4.2.1 (1) Kind regards, Ketil
Nic Hubbard
I have tested our beta version and the 4.2.1 app store version and I cannot replicate the issue. Have you tried clearing your Safari cache and cookies?
Ketil
Hi, I have tested again with the new 4.3 version, and the feature still does not work. I have cleared the cache and erased the cookies as well. Might be related to the Norwegian version of Google Translate. Kind regards, Ketil
Nic Hubbard
Have you tested the English version?
Ketil
Hi Nic, I just tried switching the iOS language to English, and the translation functionality started working immediately. I tried to switch back and forth a few times, and the behavior is consitent: Does not work in Norwegian, does work in English. It would be interesting to see if you are able to reproduce this on your end. Kind regards, Ketil
