Adding the current & max character count in the logging screen
GC_Diver posted a question in Feature Requests
Hello, I thought about another little feature, which I think might be easy to implement. It appears that Geocaching.com has a character limit of about 3700 (incl. spaces) for online logs (I am not sure about the exact value). While not hitting this threshold often, it is sad to lose text / hit errors on these particular logs, as these are obviously the type of logs that are demanding an elaborate story. Would it be possible to add a character counter in the corner of the logging screen? Something easy as this would do: (234/3700) Thanks a lot and best regards -
I have a number of trackables items I carry with me, and would love to be able to set these up as part of a Template, so when I log a find I don’t have to also select each TB I want to dip. Obviously this wouldn’t apply to Drops. This would save a LOT of time on Big Logging Days.

I have been using Cachly ever since the threat of loss GC classic app seemed inevitable. I was swiftly won over - great job, developers. Love the app. After discovering I could attach eleventy-five photos to every log, I promptly declared that a: I was never going to log any other way, and b: I was almost ready to tattoo "I heart Cachly " but for the fact that I am a big wuss. Anyway is it possible to add to a log a bit of text that is always the same and always there (just like an email signature) for eg "logbook signed as VR because I'm lazy" and.... is it possible to do a one button press "visit all held trackables" because- well - see above comment re: lazy. Many thanks VR

I have more than 30 trackables in my inventory. Most are owned by me. I often "dip" a trackable or two in a cache that I've found. I realized today that when I attempt to Log a Find and then click on "Trackable Drop/Visit", only 30 trackables are shown in my inventory. The heading of the page states these are "Available" trackables but I have more than 30 that should appear as available. There were several instances today when I was not able to access a trackable for purposes of "visiting" a cache. There doesn't seem to be any way of loading more trackables from this particular screen. If I look in the trackables section, the same restriction seems to be in place (perhaps the first 30 are shown) but there is an option to load more in this section of the app. Is this a bug? Or is this by design?
