adding ifes phone?

we are new to this and have the app on my phone.  Is there a way to add it to my wife's phone also, so we can both search for the cache separately? she sometime feels like a puppy just following!! Thanks.

If you use family sharing in iOS you would both be able to use the same app. If you aren't using that feature and have separate iTunes accounts then you would have to purchase it for each phone.

OK I think I understand , which leads to this---  if she has separate account and has the app added to her phone( I mean really it's only five bucks) and she makes a find , can it be logged on a joint account?   Or better yet,  she is logging in Florida and has a find and we have a joint cachly account would she would be able to log on to mine?

Yes. You are using your geocaching.com account within Cachly. So you could both use the same account and it would work fine.
