    Map refresh

I'm really looking forward to this feature!
  2. Hi, I've been using Cachly for a while now and realized that it would be nice to have the ability to choose it the buttons on the map should be on the right side (like now) or the left side. I am right handed but using the phone in my left hand which in some cases makes it hard to reach the buttons on the right side with my thumb. What do you think about a setting to let the user decide which side to place the buttons? Kind regards Fredrik

    Locked tracking

Don't know if my title is right, but I've been using Cachly for a while now (finally decided to move from Looking4Cache Pro) and for the most parts I like Cachly better. One thing i really really miss from Looking4Cache is that when I set different modes like tracking my movement, tracking my movement with my direction of travel being up etc it will be "locked". In Cachly you just need to touch the screen and the current mode resets to not track. This often happens when I'm trying to zoom in/out or just when I unintentionally touches the screen. I like the fact that I can move around (with my finger) on the map and it resets back to my location after just a second or two. In my opinion it would be nice if it was possible to lock the different modes for example if you long press the icon it would lock the current mode until you long press it again. What do you think about that idea?

    Locked tracking

That's awesome! Hope it won't take too long.
  5. I love the 5.1 update of Cachly, thank you so much Nic. Even though I still miss a feature to load caches automatically while panning around on the map it works quite well for me to load in GPX-files with all the caches of the areas where I'm going to be. Side note: I've also been stress testning Cachly a lot for a few days and I'm quite impressed by the performance to import GPX-files containing up to around 10 000 caches. I've also tried to import almost 200 000 caches, still impressed by the performance even though it took me över 24 h and when it was done Cachly was kinda slow, but not unusable. Now over to the issue that I'm experiencing: When I'm running Cachly on my iPad in landscape and set Cachly to follow my movement and to have my direction of travel upwards Cachly kinda fails. It works on my iPhone in portrait mode though. Also a side note: I've been experiencing this exat same issue with both Looking 4 Cache a few years back but they have fixed it. So I'm hoping you can find a solution to this. Here is a video of the issue: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YRwa9lxiXPXwm9ZZSg2KySayahLgrJTO
  6. When looking att photos in "full screen" you need to press Done in the top right corner to exit back to the gallery or log. Here it would be nice if you could just swipe down or up on the photo to close it instead of needing to push the Done-button, most of the iOS-apps that I use that shows photos in full screen has this kinda feature and I like it a lot.
  7. I recently found out that you are able so zoom in/out using one hand/thumb in Apple Maps. To do this you double tap somewhere on the map and then move your thumb up and down. This feature would be awesome in Cachly.
  8. Still dosen't work. Any updates on when you might be able to fix this?

Zoom in/out with using just one hand.

Don't know if it's you (if it is, then great work!) who made this possible on all maps (even tile-maps) or if it's a feature in iOS, but it's awesome!
  10. One thing that I personally found out was quite annoying is that when I've zoomed in on the map to show as much as I want and then pushes the arrow for tracking me the map centers to my location and zooms in a lot. I would rather have it to center my location on the map without zooming in or out. One place where this is extremely annoying is when I'm in my car driving and have moved the map around and then pushes the arrow so it starts to track my movement and zooms in, it's quite hard to zoom back out again while I'm moving around on the map. So turning off the tracking and setting the right zoom level and then turning the tracking on again would be awesome.
  11. Sorry, my bad! This should work: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YRwa9lxiXPXwm9ZZSg2KySayahLgrJTO

Zoom in/out with using just one hand.

Would it be possible to add two icons on the map an + and - so you can zoom in/out by clicking them? Also I noticed that this double tapping and move up and down to zoom in and out worked on the premium offline maps.

Zoom in/out with using just one hand.

I see. The feature is still good though. Hope Apple releases this in their framework. Thank you for your answers.

Zoom in/out with using just one hand.

Oh, I see. So this feature cant be done on custom tile-maps?
  15. For an example when you navigate to a cache it says it's 38m, in this info box it would be very nice if it said 38m +/-5m so you don't need to change to the compass to get this information.
  16. Since I'm using my iPad in my car as a navigator it would be great to see Cachly as an universal app for iPhone/iPad and also support for side by side so I could run Cachly side by side with example Waze.

    iPad and multitasking/side by side

Sorry for the late reply on this. But running an app like Waze on top of Cachly isn't a good user experience cause it covers to much of the Cachly interface. I'm hoping that you will consider to implement full multitasking side by side support.

GPS accuracy on the map view.

What ever happen to this feature? Didn't it make the cut or am I just blind?

    iPad and multitasking/side by side

What's the status on side by side support?
  20. When logs are sent to geocaching.com they get the time and date that are in Seattle. For an example, if i log a cache (log or send a fieldnote) 2016-09-10 04:00 am it will be logged as if I found it at 2016-09-09 08:00 pm and if I log a cache at 2016-09-10 08:00 am it will be logged as if I found it at 2016-09-10 00:00 am (since I'm in Sweden and it's 8 hours difference between our and Seattles time zone). The workaround for this is to manually add 8 hours to every log. But this is quite annoying and easy to forget. This is an issue for all geocaching apps out there (even Groundspeaks own apps), the only app that has this working is Geocaching with Geosphere. It would be nice if Cachly (when the logs are sent to geocaching.com) would compare the iPhones/iPads timezone to Seattle and then automatically add the hours that differ. When a friend and I tried to figure this out and reverse engineer Geocaching with Geosphere we have come to the conclusion that Geosphere saves the time and date that the iPhone has so if you save your fieldnotes to a GPX-file the time and dates are correct, but if you send the logs to geocaching.com it automatically adds the hours that differ. I hope you understand what I mean, otherwise I will try to explain it better.
  21. It seems like Groundspeak finally have resolved this, cause now the logs gets the correct time and date (exactly the date that is in the app, I've tested it in Cachly and another geocaching-app). Maybe someone more could confirm this to be working?

    Pending Logs

Also to this it would be great if it was possible to send a fieldnotes.txt to Dropbox, iCloud-drive or e-mail for importing to iCaching or GSAK.
  23. You've already added me as an beta tester. /Fredrik Söderlund
  24. Of course I would love to help test and sort this out.
