  1. On the official geocaching app you can message the CO from the cache listing and it will immediately reference the cache that you are referring to. The only way I know of messaging a CO on Cachly is by going through the message centre which is a link to the geocaching.com website.

Would it be possible to have a message button on the cache page that when pressed enables you to send a message to the CO but references the cache that you have a query about?

    Thanks

    James.

  2. Hi Nic,

No it’s as if the message has never been sent. Have restarted the app and still the same. I can reply through email so it’s not the end of the world, but was just curious as to why it’s happening.

    Thanks,

    James.

  3. Hi there

When messaging a CO through the profile link on the cache page, I am then taken to the Geocaching message centre. The issue is when the message is sent, it does not appear in the messages section on the geocaching app. A response is received through email, but again this does not appear in the messages inbox.

If I message through the geocaching app then the message does appear in the messages list.

Could you please advise as to how I can resolve this issue?

    Many thanks,

    James.

  4. The only reason I still have the main geocaching app on my phone is when planning routes I can pan around on the map and as you pan, the map updates with more geocaches. On Cachly you have to keep refreshing the map to load more. I do know that you can increase the amount visible, but would it be possible to have the map auto-refresh like the geocaching official app does?

    Thanks,

    James.

  5. As the title says, would it be possible to reference the GC code for a cache in the message to the owner? It would be quite happy when sending a photo of their cache to them for proof of find etc.

Also, I can’t seem to add photos to messages with Cachly? Is this something that could be looked into?

    thanks,

    James.

  6. I’m just viewing caches as I normally would, full data while connected to home WiFi. Have opened them on my phone but they are still greyed out on the watch.

Strangely, if I click current on the watch, there are no issues with the buttons being greyed out there, it’s simply just the nearby function.
