Display GPX Points on Cachly?

Question

So I am sitting in my hotel room getting ready to head to the APE Mega and I am thinking it sure would be nice to be able to upload that .gpx to either a map or even add them as waypoints inside the APE event on Cachly. This would be a great feature to add in the future.

Worked for me. Download and saved GPX to Dropbox. Import into new list.

It worked for me, too.  I'm glad to know Cachly works with lab caches.   Thanks.

I got it! I was using Chrome on my iPhone and that was the problem. I switched to Safari and it downloaded straight to Cachly and it works perfectly. Too bad I just finished the last Lab cache and am now sitting at dinner.

Cachly wins again!

Safari recognizes the meta information in the download and knows it is a GPX so offers apps that can handle GPX. Chrome, as best I can tell, only looks at the file extension and these lack that. Always use Safari for downloading GPX from web to Cachly.

I still have this offline list saved from when I tested the import. I just tried to refresh it and Cachly crashes. This is repeatable. I realize these caches may not exist anymore, but it would be more useful to get an error message than a crash.

Are you able to provide the crash logs for this?

It's there a way to get them without syncing to iTunes?

Syncing with iTunes is the most ideal way, since we can get the actual crash files. I can't find a way in iOS 11 where you can do this anymore on your phone.

A bit off topic, but I just noticed that with iTunes 12.7, yo can no longer see or access anything on your iOS device from iTunes. :-(

You can still access everything on your iOS device. They just removed the App Store from iTunes.

Rather than make a new topic, I have created a list of points in Google Earth for an upcoming series of caches I am planting. I saved them as a KML from Google Earth then I used an online KML to GPX converter to get them into GPX. I put the GPX in Dropbox and tried to upload it to Cachly. I get the same problem I was getting here back in September. Nothing loads into my Offline List, but it doesn't say an error or anything.

Here is my GPX.

What am I doing wrong?

Cachly needs the "sym" field because it uses that to know if it is a Waypoint or a Geocache.

<sym>Geocache</sym>

Cachly also uses the description field for the cache name.
