seffnjarah
I am currently using Cachly on an iPhone 14. I am using GSAK to create GPX files which I then import into Cachly and save in offline lists. I am currently experiencing an issue where my draft logs are appearing on the geocaching.com website using UTC date/time despite the draft log showing the correct date/time for my time zone (Australia). Today I posted draft logs for quite a number of geocache finds and found that some draft logs on geocaching.com showed the correct date/time while the majority used the UTC date/time. Further investigation showed that when I post draft logs from the LIVE map in Cachly, the correct date/time for my time zone appears on the geocaching.com draft log list. If I post a draft log from my GSAK created offline list, the UTC date/time is appearing on the geocaching.com draft log list. Is there a cause as to why my offline list draft logs are showing the incorrect date time but not those from the LIVE map? I mainly use my offline lists so it means I have to change dates of most of my logs, and if I chop and change between live and offline lists (say a cache I wanted to find wasn't in my offline list but it was on the live map) it messes up the order of my finds completely. Thanks for any help in resolving this matter so that all drafts appear on geocaching.com draft list in my time zone time/date.
Nic Hubbard
I would suspect this has to do with timezone data. In the live caches Cachly gets the timezone from the API for all caches and it knows how to correctly convert the timestamp. If you import a GPX, there likely is no timezone data and Cachly just uses UTC.
