Switch between Lists and Live view but keeping the same location

rambii

Question

Sometimes when preparing trips I'm going through my offline/online lists and want to add some more Caches. Then I go into the live view, look for the location and refresh the Caches.

I thought it would be helpful to switch from List view into Live view and keep the bounds of the current map (center location + zoom level). Long pressing on live view could trigger this.

I'm not sure if it makes sense to switch like this going from Live to List view because sometimes no list might be selected.

A problem with this could be if the Live view is currently displaying a Cache details page or something else besides a map. In that case I would probably expect it to go back into the map view and then focus on the current map bounds form the List view.

Guess it's an issue every time I am working with offline lists. Mostly when I'm planning for trips. So really depends on the frequency of  that for me :D
Must have missed your answer in June...

I just checked out the 'find Caches near this' menu item. This is already helpful. For times where there is no Cache inside a gap. It would be helpful if I could search for 'near this' on a red marker that I create by long pressing on the map. Along the items of 'create offline geocache', 'save location', 'navigate to location' ...

Would it be possible to add the 'near this' option to that existing list?

Only downside from the 'near this' view is that I cannot set filters on that area. But I guess it that would be more difficult with the flow...
Maybe the 'near this' option could take the user to the Live Tab instead of opening it in a new window in the Lists Tab.
