ChrisDen reacted to rragan in Export as GPX - Why?
There are a couple of ways to go. Clear Map on Refresh:off, Use Map Center in Search:on. If you are picking onesies like an easy grab at a freeway exit, just save it to the list. If you want to grab three at once, zoom in to those and do Save Visible to the list. Then move the map down the road. The next search will show you new ones. Repeat the process.
An alternative is to highlight the ones you want. Then you can do Save Highlighted when you have all the ones you want (assuming no other random highlighted caches are in the view)
I have asked for a search variant that limits the search area to the visible window. That saves loading caches I won't use when doing a manual caches on a route like above.

ChrisDen reacted to barefootguru in Download of Pocket Queries/Offline lists
The date might be the PQ date… whenever I download a new PQ it always goes to the top of the Offline list (as Nik says).
Tap Edit to arrange them in your desired order.

Tested it from a iPhone 7 to an iPhone 5. Agree - works like a dream

Breaking news. Public outcry has saved email.

Posting this for more discussion. Thoughts?
P.S., this is starting to grow on me...

ChrisDen reacted to Team DEMP in API limitation
The Groundspeak API has a limit of 30 requests over 60 seconds.

ChrisDen reacted to Nic Hubbard in Change to API
I have been talking with a user from Australia who has been testing this, and from his testing turning off the "Log Date Correction" option in Cachly and just logging the date normally with make dates work correctly. It seems that Groundspeak fixed things on their end and the date correction is no longer needed.

ChrisDen reacted to Nic Hubbard in Highlight a filtered set of caches?
This isn't possible yet, but will be coming.
What did you mean by this?

ChrisDen reacted to MrGigabyte in Highlight a filtered set of caches?
Is there anyway to highlight the results of a filter used in an offline list? For example, today I wanted to highlight a series of caches that all had a a specific phrase in the cache name. I entered that phrase in the search and it returned on the map and in the list, the caches in the series. Now, I wanted to highlight all of them, then clear the filter. So I could see where that series was in relation to other caches. Thee does not seem to be a way to apply highlight to the search results.
Also, I tried to do this in Live view and it would not return the correct caches from the search. v 3.0 (11) -

You will probably have to refresh the offline caches once they are published

ChrisDen reacted to Team DEMP in Challenge cache identifier
Just an idea to consider. What I do for challenge caches which I qualify is I update the posted coord on GC.com with the same coord. GC, Project GC and Cachly treated is corrected coords. This trick shows a triangle in Cachly even though the coords are the original.
I use Project-GC for seeing what challenges as I qualify for and then update the coordinates on the gc.com site for the challenge cache.
There's no distinction between a solved mystery and a qualified challenge, but the indication would show it might be worth going after. Just a thought you could do in the interim if a more permanent solution was coming.

ChrisDen reacted to Nic Hubbard in 'Live' updating maps.
Yes, this is for sure something I will do. Just need to do it in a way to retain performance. Sorting a list of 20,000 caches every 10 seconds could take up a lot of processor...will work on this.

ChrisDen reacted to Bolling in Offline maps easier for users
That probably is a good idea.
Just don't include a video telling us what a cache is.... OK nasty attack on official app.

ChrisDen reacted to Team DEMP in Should offline lists and pending logs be user specific?
It seems appropriate that what is downloaded under 1 logged in user account isn't visible to a different user account on the same device.
Are these users individuals that used a different program prior to cachly that treated the files as application and not user specific? They just need to learn how it works under Cachly. I don't feel it should change.

Having more that one highlight color choice would sure be nice also!

ChrisDen reacted to JohnCNA in New user - problems with GPX and PQ downloads
Geoboater, Cachly will import GPX files from GSAK with no problem. I had a similar issue with GPX export from BaseCamp, and found that if I loaded a BaseCamp export into GSAK and resaved it, Cachly imported it with no trouble. To add further praise to Cachly, I sent a Garmin BaseCamp GPX file to the developer and the next Cachly update would directly import a BaseCamp GPX without having to go through GSAK first.

Hah. Dropbox problem. Same error when I tried to log out.
Found Dropbox was set for WiFi only and I was using Mobile data.

Assuming the Russians do not influence this vote, I cast mine as follows:
I vote for the traditional/original colour scheme - Yellow smile, Blue frown, etc.
