ChrisDen got a reaction from hidegoseek in DT Loop Filter
There was an issue with overwriting the highlight indicator but that was resolved a while ago

ChrisDen reacted to Bolling in DT Loop Filter
Thanks TeamDemp. I didn't know what looping was either.
Personally, this isn't the type of development path I'd prefer to see Cachly take. I think there is already a big list of more widely useful items. No offense to @rustywa

ChrisDen reacted to barefootguru in GPS not working when phone has No Service
Something to keep in mind is the iPhone uses Assisted GPS: if you have a network connection it can take up to 30 seconds to download satellite data before your location can be calculated. Without a network connection this maximum increases to 10+ minutes.

... and the issue has gone on Cachly and other apps so it was a GHQ issue that they must have resolved.

ChrisDen reacted to Nic Hubbard in Waypoints
Waypoints are part of the geocaching.com API. They are synced with the API server and can be seen in any API apps that support that feature.

ChrisDen reacted to bloodycool in Display cache type in pending logs list
In case it hasn't been mentioned, I think it would be quite useful if the cache type (traditional, virtual, earth cache) was displayed for each cache in the pending logs list. After a long day of caching last week I had 100 pending logs with virtuals and earth caches mixed together with a lot of traditional. I was trying to remember which cache was which so I could write a slightly less generic log as well as which ones I needed to add "answers submitted" to the logs or write "I don't yet quite qualify for this challenge cache" note. I ended up having to jump back to my offline list (I cache almost exclusively from offline lists) and filter by cache type to see the names of the virtuals and earth caches I found that day.
As always, thanks for the great app and the great support.

Just for info the deleted PQs appear on the official app as well

Yes, this is on the list of features that will be added in a future version.

ChrisDen reacted to Attila_G in Tap & zoom feature
Apps like Geosphere, MapsMe and others have a very handy feature to zoom the map with only one finger. When you tap twice on the map then hold the finger pressed and slide it up or down, the map zooms in or out. Would be a great feature for Cachly!

ChrisDen reacted to Michael in Current location indicator not hidden behind caches
Hi
It would be nice if the current location indicator would not be hidden behind the cache symbols, e.g. like this:
Here you can hardly see the indicator in the middle and it gets completely hidden when zooming further out.
I hope its possible
Regards, Michael

ChrisDen got a reaction from Necro in Improve download dialog during update of offline lists
An ability to abort a download will also be useful

ChrisDen reacted to Necro in Improve download dialog during update of offline lists
Not sure if this already was requested: While updating an offline list, cachly tells me "Downloading Caches" and shows the infinite circle animation turning and turning around. If the offline list contains lots of caches (updating them might take several minutes), the user does not know if there is some progress / what exactly is happening at all. It would be great to see some kind of progress bar or the like; e.g. "Updating Caches - 100 of 2685 completed". UI doesn't need to be refreshed after every single cache but maybe based on the amount of caches stored in the offline list (1000 caches = update every 100 caches successfully updated).

ChrisDen reacted to DerLakaiMS in Archiving an event
I guess the greyed out button is misleading - it is still possible to log by pressing the button, it is just greyed out to indicated you have found the cache already. IMHO this is not the best UI here, as "greyed out" usually means "not available", which is not the case here.

ChrisDen got a reaction from Nic Hubbard in Bugs when creating a log
Hi Andy

ChrisDen reacted to Team DEMP in Edit logs in app
The logging behavior you are looking for is the reason I switched all logging to local Cachly phone drafts and then uploaded as drafts (aka field notes) to the web site. It allows me to edit locally until I upload and then look at the logs on a real computer before I submit them. I was making too many typos and not writing out everything I wanted from my phone and this approach addressed that. Even if I have a full cell signal I still log it locally as a draft and submit it after I'm back home as a draft to the geocaching site.

ChrisDen reacted to Nic Hubbard in Cachly Lagging
Do you have a lot of offline caches? I have experienced this as well, and others with a lot of offline caches (10k+) have reported this as well. I have fixed the issue and will be submitted a 3.0.1 version very soon.

ChrisDen reacted to MrGigabyte in Send more then one logfile
This is a feature that is in version 3.0, which will be released in the wild June 29.
Nic has posted a list of all the new features here.

ChrisDen got a reaction from Bolling in Getting good coordinates for cache placement
I must admit I don't average the readings. Walk away and back again numerous times. From that there is one set of coords that appear more than others surrounded by a few that are .001 out. Then there are some that are different by 3 or 4 thousands. Those need to be ignored.
To me a simple average brings in one's that are obviously incorrect. I would not have this feature as a priority. There are others that are far more useful eggs Status update, delete a cache from all offline lists

You're right. Totally misread that one. Sorry.

ChrisDen reacted to Kyzabra in Multiple log templates
I'm sure it's been asked before, but wondering how far down the development tree is the ability to have multiple log templates.
Or ideally, a seperate template for each log type (Find, dnf, need maintenance etc)
this would be really handy.

You can do that already.
