The Trackables Details screen provides all the information you might want about a trackable plus an ability to log the trackable or view its journey.

Title Bar[edit]

The top of every Trackable Details screen contains a back arrow to return from whence you came, the TB Code of the cache, and an ••• Action button.

Available actions are:

Refresh the trackable
View on geocaching.com

Logging and View Bar[edit]

Tap the "Log Trackable" to enter the screen for logging it or "View Travels" to go to that screen.

Main Information Area[edit]

Just below the Logging and View area is a summary area for all the main information about the cache.

It begins with the trackable name and an image of the trackable. If the trackable is in your inventory then the tracking number will appear below the name.

The next line has "Last seen with ?????" if it is in the possession of a cacher or "Last seen in ?????" if it is in a cache. There is also the date it was last moved. Tapping here will take you to the the User Profile screen of the person it is with.

Below that you see the date the Trackable was created and the distance it has traveled.

Actions and Information[edit]

Description[edit]

The Description screenshows you the description from the trackables listing in three ways: Text, Web and Source. Text is the default and shows you primarily the textual material in the description. Web treats the description as if it were a web screen so you will often see more formatting, bolded text. etc. Finally, Source shows you the underlying HTML that defines the web page.

The only Action you get when tapping the ••• at the top is an option to translate the screen using Google Translate which could be handy if you don't speak the language used in the description.

Tip: This information is only available if the owner of the trackable has entered information for the trackable

Goal[edit]

If the trackable has a goal it will be seen here.

The goal is what the owner would like the trackable to do or where it should go.

The only Action you get when tapping the ••• at the top is an option to translate the screen using Google Translate which could be handy if you don't speak the language used in the description.

Tip: You should look at the trackable's goal and try to help it achieve ie.

Logs[edit]

If you tap Logs, you drill down to see individual logs from most recent backwards to earlier ones. The first line of the log shows an icon for the cacher, if they have one, their caching name and at the far right the ••• action which allows you to use Google Translate on the log text. This can be invaluable if the log is in a language you don't know. Of course, this requires data service to reach Google translate. Right below that is the type of log and the date the log entry was made.

Tapping the geocacher's icon will open their Profile screen. If you have an entry for their caching name in your iOS Contacts list, you can phone or text message them via the Profile screen. See the User Profile screen for more information. The caching name must be in one of the Company, Nickname or Notes field of their contact entry for this feature to work. The name search is not case-sensitive and only looks for the caching name anywhere in the field.

Additional Information[edit]

Here is a complete list of the things you can see on this screen.

Name: Name of the cache
Type Name: The Trackable Type
Code: TB Code
Tracking Code: The Code that will have to be entered if you want to log the trackable. If the item is not in you inventory or you have searched for it using the TB code then the TB code is repeated here
Current Holder: The caching name of the current holder of the trackable. If the trackable is in a cache then the field is blank.

Tapping any one of these items will copy the text of that item to the clipboard.
