I'm not sure why the one backup listed is 21MB and the Usage is reporting 2GB. It is ok to delete the backups.

What's the 'Backups' under 'Usage'

Published.zip from last month but it’s only 21 Meg and I didn’t create it? -

The website just downloads a .zip file. Cachly downloads full cache data. In 8.0 downloading the .zip will be an option.

What do you show under More > Backups ? And yes you can delete them.
-
Hmm, it downloads fine from the website, so I guess that's my workaround.

In More > Usage > Storage there's an item for Backups, which for me is currently 2 GB. What's this used for, and can I delete it? I've had a look around but can't find any info on it.
-
The PQs which stall seem consistent, do we know what the trigger is? i.e. is there a way to change the PQ criteria to work around it?

Hi, would be possible to implement in Cachly, that pictures taken via Cachly app would save as well GPS coordinates of place wher pix was taken? Now I need to take picture via Camera app and than paste it in Personal notice. It takes much longer than to take photos from Cachly - Personal notice directly. I understand, that in Logs are the GPS not desirable, but It would be nice, to save GPS for personal notes photos.

Hi Nick, Roughly when will v8 be released? Just a sketchy plan - a month or a quarter. Thank you in advance.
-
I understand now, thanks.

Full cache data means it will include image data from 30 images from each geocache. Image data means the image comment and the URL of the image. It does not mean it is downloading the image. That is why there is an additional Download Images option. The reason this is separate is that if a user updated an offline list with 1000 caches, it is possible there could be 5,000-10,000 photos, which is huge.
-
Am I understanding correctly that the “Update Caches / .. / Full Cache Data” command means full cache data excluding images?

Hi. Thank you very much for the quick explanation.

For Live searching this isn't possible as the geocaching.com API does not support this. For offline lists, we do have this feature! When adding an attribute filter just tap the attribute again to change it to a "not" filter. Hope this helps.

Hello, A nice new feature would be to search by Negative Attributes. But I’m not sure how easy it would be to implement. Currently it appears that it is only possible to search for Positive Attributes in the live search and in offline lists. On the GC website it is also only possible to search for positive ones. To my knowledge only a search thorugh Pocket Queries allows to search for negative ones, which is cumbersome. Thank you.

Nic Hubbard started following Premium Offline Map Not Showing up
-
The issue here is likely that once the file downloaded Cachly was running in the background and it was trying to uncompress the map file. Because that takes longer, iOS killed Cachly. If you are able to redownload and leave Cachly open that would be the only way at this point to solve the issue and allow the map to fully install.

Hello, I use premium offline maps quite a bit, but the map for China doesn't seem to work. I downloaded it, but it doesn't show up where my other offline maps exist. The other maps work fine. If I go into the Offline Maps in the list of Asia maps, it has a checkbox next to it (not a cloud icon like the rest), and when I click it in that section, it says "map already downloaded" with the option to re-download. My troubleshooting would typically be to uninstall and reinstall the map, but given it's 5gb and I'm traveling, it would be very difficult to keep a stable connection on hotel wifi for that much data. (side ntoe: it could be worth breaking that map down into regions if that's offered by the mapping service, as the whole country is such a huge file). Any advice? Thank you! Also, random side suggestion: A search feature within a cache's description would be helpful for Earth Caches which can be very very long. Just a thought, but not pressing...

Hello, I have problem with installing the app on my watch. I'm running the latest watchOS 8.8.1 that the watch will support. I can install other applications just fine with few exceptions. There are other applications that are having the same issue with this specific watch. It seems though that to issue needs to be resolved by developers of the apps. I linked the same issue happening in Home Assistant app where are more details and potential fixes for this problem. https://github.com/home-assistant/iOS/issues/2568 Thank you for your help.

I am not seeing any images being replaced when you do a full data update. Cachly adds additional photos that are grey and then you need to download the image files.
-
You used the Download Cache Images function. Does this mean that the Update cache with full data does not download images? Anyway, I do not understand why images in Cachly are replaced by placeholders during update cache with full data.
-
I see the following difference: I do have in the begining all images imported from gpx file, so I didn’t use Download Cache images after update cache with full data.
-
Thanks for sending the file. I didn't have any issues. I imported it, chose to download images and they all showed when viewing the cache. Next, I chose to tap the ... on the maps screen, update caches with full data. Then I used the Download Cache images option to download images for all caches. Now viewing the cache images I see 17 fully loaded offline images. If I missed something can you explain?
