Kyzabra got a reaction from Lone R in Logic around DNFs
Should also allow other types of logs such as NM, NA, Temp Disable, and reviewer note. Love this concept.

It would be great if could add a filter to look for log types. When scouting an area to cache, I’d like to be able to identify caches with a DNF, NM or NA on it as the last log. Going in and out of each cache is quite time consuming
Would also probably need the ability to add reviewer note and temp disabled as well.

Cheers. Have added a comment to that thread.

Kyzabra reacted to Frank in Pocket Mode / Battery Saver Mode
I really would enjoy having a 'pocket mode'. In this feature, the app would lock it's screen if upside down to allow the GPS and app to remain open while in the pocket while conserving some battery and keeping buttons from being pressed. Upon return from the pocket, the phone will be right side up and the screen log instantly goes away. If the cacher gets within 100 foot of the cache he/she is navigating to, Cachly will make ring to alert the cacher that they are approaching the cache. This feature will let cachers tackle terrain and/or obstacles while not worrying about turning the phone on and off over and over again while letting the GPS lock in again and again.
For a working example, see Pokemon Go's "Battery Saver Mode" as it's inspiration for this request.

Having Cachly recall state and open where you left it would help greatly with this and other continuity issues.

Kyzabra reacted to rragan in Use coords from log
The more general approach is in a feature request kicking around in the list. It is to recognize coordinate patterns in any text (description, logs, personal note) and make "hot" like a link. Pressing it would pop up a menu offering
- Save location
- Set corrected coords to this
- Copy
- Add Related Waypoint

Kyzabra reacted to CanUSeeIT in Include TB dips in Templates
I have a number of trackables items I carry with me, and would love to be able to set these up as part of a Template, so when I log a find I don’t have to also select each TB I want to dip. Obviously this wouldn’t apply to Drops. This would save a LOT of time on Big Logging Days.

Kyzabra reacted to Nic Hubbard in Loading offline caches
In a future version there will be an option to choose the Offline List to import your PQ info.

Kyzabra got a reaction from Necro in I would like to see The Logs of my Friends at a Cache
Then that would be cool. Especially as 95%of my caching is offline. Regardless of reception.

Yeah, that would be possible.

Thanks Highlands_guy,
What I'm looking for is to be able to screen shot the Art, not complete, complete the geoart trail with corrected coords, then screen shot it complete, back in the art. I'm a blogger, and would love to show this on my social media sites. Plus I wanted to screen shot the 'Cachly' app rather than the GC one.

This is a feature that will be coming in a future version.

Kyzabra got a reaction from Attila_G in Who is using "Logs"?
On this topic, one feature I find handy in Geosphere (but havent really looked at in cachly) is the ability to easily view previous field notes. Often, when someone calls for assistance in finding a cache I have previously found, I will go back into Geosphere offline list, find the cache, and review my field notes on the hide.

I bet that list is growing
really appreciate the work you are doing with Cachly. Please don't take any of my requests or feedback as criticism ever. I am just sharing how a number of us use our app over and above just searching for a cache.
loving what you are doing with Cachly

Kyzabra reacted to Nic Hubbard in Resume app from last use
No, the intention and way iOS will work in this situation is to feel like you never left the app, as it will be exactly how you left it.

Kyzabra reacted to rragan in View cache on map.
Geosphere Set As Target (target concept described in a different thread) mostly does this. The only difference from what you describe is that pressing the action on the description page triggers Navigation and vice-versa navigating sets it as target. I'd rather it just set it as target but did not immediately navigate.
Once the target is set, it is colored red in Map view even if you switch lists to one not containing it or go to Live view

Kyzabra reacted to Michael in Saved locations visible in offline maps
Recently I started to use the saved locations feature and it is really very useful.
It would be very nice if the saved locations would be shown on the map when loading an offline list.
Currently the locations are shown after I saved them, but when I switch from one offline list to another the saved location pins are gone.
I have to select a saved location to see it, but I only see one at a time and nothing else.
With all saved locations visible on the offline map, I could easily see all my markers for hotels, restaurants and bars while caching
Best regards
Michael

Yes, it should resort automatically. Will log a bug for this.
