hidegoseek reacted to Team DEMP in Google Maps in 4.3?
Please see this FAQ in the Wiki - http://www.cach.ly/help/index.php/FAQ#How_do_I_access_Google_Maps_in_Cachly_4.3.3F

hidegoseek reacted to Nic Hubbard in Friend's logs
The ideal situation here would be an API that does this matching for us.

hidegoseek reacted to Nic Hubbard in Filtering experience
A new Inverse option will be available for all non-boolean filters in the next beta.
Thanks for the suggestion, when building and testing this I realize how powerful it is!

hidegoseek reacted to barefootguru in Who is using "Logs"?
@ACME WildCachers The special My Finds PQ always includes your own log(s)… and no others.
AFAIK Cachly merges/combines the log entries when refreshing.

You need to either select an offline list from the ones listed (assuming you have one or more) OR you hit the "+" button, enter a new list name, Save, then select that list, and finally, hit Import on the Import GPX page.
BTW: How is it possible to have 60 MB GPX file of just solved caches. I have 3000 caches including ALL my unfound caches and it is only 30 MB. So I assume you have 6000 solved puzzles. If that is the case, I could use your help on a few dozen around here! :-)

hidegoseek got a reaction from ChrisDen in How do I close the keyboard once opened?
I use the SwiftKey keyboard and it has the "down keyboard" button.

hidegoseek reacted to ChrisDen in DT Loop Filter
There was an issue with overwriting the highlight indicator but that was resolved a while ago

From GCHQ. "We've had a server decide to go down. The engineering team expects the issue to be resolved shortly."

hidegoseek got a reaction from Nic Hubbard in DT Loop Filter
I agree. There are excellent apps and online tools for the specialized stuff, e.g. iCaching and project-gc. I don't expect, or want, Cachly as the 'be all end all' geocaching app that gets so bloated that its functionality suffers. I view it as a tool to be used in the field that should reliably perform each time I use it. All those other fancy schmancy esoteric tasks are homework on a rainy day using a real computer. For example, I use project-gc to create a gpx file of qualifying caches to complete the second loop of my fizzy grid. That file now exists as an offline list on Cachly that I can easily reference when on a road trip. No muss, no fuss.

I think it does. In the "more" menu is "Import from iTunes." It's right below the "Import from Dropbox" option.

hidegoseek reacted to Nic Hubbard in Problems using the compass
I am just trying my best to do my part in creating a Geocaching app that everyone loves and wants to use.
It is a work in progress as is any software.
More great stuff to come!

hidegoseek got a reaction from Nic Hubbard in Saving caches to offline list
When viewing caches on the map click the "…" in the upper LEFT corner, then "Save to Offline List." You can then choose "All Caches," "Visible Caches," or "Highlighted Caches," and add them to an existing offline list or create a new list.

hidegoseek reacted to Nic Hubbard in County Boundary map overlays
I agree the current solution isn't the best. Will revisit this.

hidegoseek reacted to rragan in Support URL scheme
A URL scheme is a way for other apps or just links in a mail to wake up another app and ask it to do something. So I could send you cachly://gccode=GC70 and you could click that and have Cachly open up to the oldest multicache in the world.
Continuing with that line of thought, I have made a feature request to let Cachly users define their own "URL bookmarks" that would let Cachly integrate with other apps or web services. In Geosphere, I have a bookmark I defined that opens the cache location in Google Street View. Super useful.

Posting this for more discussion. Thoughts?
P.S., this is starting to grow on me...

hidegoseek reacted to Nic Hubbard in Show event date in listing
Absolutely. This is something that I have already added in for 2.0.3. Here are some screenshots:

hidegoseek reacted to Nic Hubbard in Display Markdown in logs
This is actually something we introduced way back in 1.0.4, but the overhead of converting logs with markup to attributed text was causing some performance issues. After that, we determined that few logs even use Markup, so we removed the feature and kept it on our feature list to fix the performance issues and add it again in a future version.

hidegoseek reacted to Nic Hubbard in Map tile caching problem
The rendering speed on a 5s is currently pretty slow for high zoom levels. We are working to fix the performance of offline maps for older and newer devices.

hidegoseek reacted to Nic Hubbard in User Created Waypoints
In the GPX data, there isn't an indication which Waypoints are cache waypoints or user waypoints.
Currently there isn't a way to edit imported waypoints, but I will for sure keep that feature in mind.

hidegoseek got a reaction from Nic Hubbard in User Defined Keywords
I use that feature on the phone when using voice to text. When I say "cache" it writes "cash," so when I'm finished with the dictation I go back and add a "p" to cash (because the "p" is the closest to my thumb) and my predefined shortcut correctly writes "cache."

hidegoseek reacted to Nic Hubbard in Found and not found yet Toggle in maps
You are in luck. All of these features are already available.
What you are looking for is Search Options. These can be accessed by tapping the gear icon that is inside of the search bar. That will give you a plethora of search options including hide my finds and choosing what cache type to search for.
